Pop up screen parts on A8

Hi I was looking for assistance regards identfying a part. I have a 2010 A8 D4. The pop up screen is not going up or down but clicks.

I have found a few parts on Ebay.

Repair kit 4G2.919.601 ad, this is new but the seller is not sure if it suits the A8
or
used 4G2.919.601J mechanism and screen

My preference would be for the new one but maybe some know if it is the same as the used one and if the last letter are indeed relevant, any thoughts would be appreciated

the best would be to try remove your own screen and check what part number you have before buying any parts. Once removed it may also happen that nothing is broken but maybe something stack and block it etc.

Have you actually tried removing the screen mechanism? it's all of the dash trim off to do so, not a simple job at all.

Hi Craig, thanks for replying, I was going to get a local audio guy to do, he seemed ok with this, really I didn't want to end up paying twice if the part was not right
