Hi all im now the proud owner off a S3 8L not new to the forum at all been on here a few years. Mainly in the B5 section and recently the B6 section, My B5 is currently off the road as ive stripped it all to do BT/Stroker build and ended up with a 6N2 polo 1.4tdi as a stop gap for a daily when i took the B5 off road i then sold the 6N2 and bought a B6 1.8T cab paid 2k for it 4 months ago and well i did a straight swap for the S3 that was up for sale for 3k as i got bored off the B6 i was abit sceptical at first but all in all im happy with it and seems a decent motor and pulls well it has a few little niggles like Cam gasket and timing belt overdue and maybe needs the oil cooler replacing as theres a tiny bit off rusty gunk in the header tank so will throw one on when i do the t/belt & w/pump.

As for the car it needs some TLC here and there as it not to my standards so im gunna try get it back to its former glory and maybe some subtle modding along the way.

Il get some more pics up soon but first thing was led upgrades on the sides and numbers and interior the night i got it.

Few q's

1. Does anyone recognise the car at all ?

2. Anyone done gloss black bumper and side trims on a silver S3 ?

I love the gloss black bumper trims!

...but mine's not silver :/

Wheres best place to get a 3" down pipe and sports cat that will bolt up to a milltek cat back ??
 
Got these to fit along with lemforder ball joints that im waiting on.

Well its been awhile but recently had a few issue's.

TIP collapsed at the breather intake connection so replaced with a CM TIP along with a S2k filter and heatshield and my forge 007p of the B5 i recently broke for parts

Alternator had a 2.9Amp drain that was flattening my battery, so repaced the battery for a bosch S3 027 battery and fitted a used one from unit1 breakers (this one has now started to flash the warning light on under heavy acceleration) tested the circuit and alternator drops to battery voltage so need to rectify this again can i get a bosch repair kit to change the voltage regulator unit, contact spindle and bearings to rectify this or do i need a complete unit ?

Fitted some Aero arms and blades and black coolant/washer caps.

Decided im going to buy a spare BAM engine and stroke/big turbo it along with a ported large port head i have from the B5 (currently in the process of porting)

Oh and chased a idle issue that threw a boost leak code to which i some how stumbled across the throttle body gear teeth had broken off as i had it off to clean it up and thought id check to see if the tracts were good on the circuit board.
