what sort of realistic power can I expect from a remap from this 2010 avant I'm about to buy if I get it mapped, I feel like pick up from turbo is abit laggy to kick in then once the revs rise it flys so wondering if a remap would help this out too.
It may be normal but I'm coming out of a b6 1.9tdi that was remapped but also I replaced the turbo a few years ago and adjusted a rod that made it kick in sooner slightly!!
Ice seen people recommend unicorn and they're right on my door step in Stockport too, will they put the car on a rolling Rd rather than just upload a generic map?

Won't go wrong with Rick .

210 is realistic , remove / delete the dpf and egr for best results maybe 220 ( drivability , top end , and mpg ) .

Yes 170 will be laggy compared to the extremely low pull flexibility of a 1.9 tdi.

Thanks guys is there a pipe I can buy to replace the dpf or do people take them off and bash the insides out!!

I had the DPF removed on my car at Ricks before it was mapped. Best to smash out the innards as potentially it will fail the MOT if a DPF is not present. If the DPF is not visible when on the car because it's covered over then it's not an issue.

Thanks pal,did you smash it out yourself and are they easy to get off the car?
Definately thinking clear the dpf out and block the egr off then remap now, seems like they run so much better from all the posts I've read!

Im in the same boat and looking for a map on my 175bhp b8.5. Ideally dont want to mess about with the DPF just yet, and was wondering what figures and torque you got from a map. A graph would be ideal :D

Just go for a 3.0 Tdi from the start.
ive been down this road. cost a lot of ££££ for a very nice, but sluggish car.
