Just heard back from my dealer and she has managed to source me another vehicle with an earlier build date so it will be ready at the dealers by October for me to collect end of November instead of early December!! Yay! 
Really disappointed that mine is showing build date of 6th November! Ordered 4th July
That'll be 5 months until delivery! I was expecting to have the car early to mid October

How Odd I ordered my 1.4 BE Tech Pack with Extended Lighting etc quite similar spec on the 1st July and I got a build date of 21st August w/ delivery expected late Sept.
Yeah I saw that a few folk had July orders with August builds
I'll see what the dealer says - I'm not sure I can cope with the wait!
Need to drive the missus Skoda Fabia for a few months, it's just no the same

I don't know about any factory order delays but my car has been sat at the docks since the 6th (3 weeks!) so I'm starting to get nervous that they'll include it and delay the delivery or something. I know that's unlikely but you'd think that they'd have transported it up by now surely? Being sat at a dealership must be safer for damage than it sitting at the dock for ages.
Only other thing I can think of is that because I said I wanted a September delivery they're just not bothering to transport it up until nearer the time but as above, you'd think that there was more potential for damage in the meantime if that were the case?

mine is with dealer, been there now 2 weeks for sept 1st handover. v1rotate car was held in docks for 3 three weeks.
No worries, I'll try to stop being impatient then!
Would just like the opportunity to see it in the flesh and make sure there was no major damage before they PDI it, but that can happen nearer the time anyhow.

Yeah very surprised. Ordered 12/05/17 and now arrived at the dealership on 27/07/17 just over two months! Was originally told it would be delivered by mid September, well impressed.
The lease company are seeing if my dealer or other dealers can get me an earlier slot - might affect my monthly cost though as it'll be based on a new deal

Same here, was quoted September originally but picking up today now! Couldn't bring myself to wait for the 67 plate.

Just called the Audi dealership to be advise the car was still at the port waiting to be collected. They said they were just going to leave it there until September so I would get the new reg.
Similar to me but I'm planning on collecting on the 1st Sept so I'd hope that it would be at the dealer in the next couple weeks.

I have asked them to get it picked up get it prepared instead of leaving it for over a month. Rather have the car now to enjoy it. Plus I'm leasing it so I don't care about the extra ££s for having a new plate.
So originally having a build week of the 21st of aug for my black edition saloon, i logged into your Audi today to see car the is already built status 30 
I know this happens occasionally but that's near enough a month jump so very happy about that ! Although does mean i now need to rush the selling of the 8p S3 i have currently!! Hoping for a near start of September pick up now

Picked mine up today. Just for all of you salivating on this thread - its AWESOME and I "only" have a sport with the standard MMI. So for those of you with higher spec cars - its gonna blow your socks off. The bang and Olufsen is also absolutely superb.
Enjoy the long wait... mine felt like forever but its totally been worth it!

Pretty much 2 months ago 25th May the order went into Audi so should be bang on the 3 month estimate they gave me now
Just joined and S4 on the way. Ordered 12 Jun 17 with a build date 24th July. Just logged in and its already left Germany. Seems very quick considering i was told 14-16 weeks deliver time. My Golf R isn't due back until 1st September. Do I call the dealership to keep it unregistered until the 1st as want the 67 plate?

Going to the dealers this Friday to sign all the paper work then I can arrange a date for collection the following week!! It can't come soon enough.

My BE Saloon is currently status 38 waiting at Emden has been since Friday as others have found out this bit is the most painful i feel, as you just don't know where in that huge car park it is and what ship it will go on (looking at which ships are in port doesn't help either by the way)
Yep... mine spent 3 weeks at Emden waiting for a boat. Was worth the wait in the end though.
As for the boats, you can see which ones are leaving to go where so it's possible to tease yourself about whether your car will be on the boat or not. When my car eventually changed to status 39 I could see by logical reasoning which boat it must be on...
Personally I wouldn't torture yourself, but you will anyway

O yes far to late for that ........ one left about an hour ago for sheerness so hoping on that there is also another unloading at Emden now but yet to see where next destination is. you are right though its unnecessary torture but i cannot help myself
the daily waits of waiting for Json to update and watching the ships go to and from with no change driving me insane but as you say i'm sure its worth the wait !

I have ordered a 1.4 S-Line with the tech pack, Hill hold and extended LED's but it seems each day it swaps between an S-Line and a Black Edition! The actual options don't change just the name! Has anybody else had this

A few people have experienced this, I wouldn't worry too much about the overall description until everything locks in. Even then you can double check things with the dealer if you think it's wrong. My S4 was appearing as an A4 for a while and then swapped back before it actually started getting built.

I think changing from an S4 to A4 would have been much more worrying!
It definitely wasn't a nice feeling! With all the talk on the forum about the tracker being a bit iffy I just waited it out though and it came good in the end.

Yep, mines still set for 21/8, hoping that when that date hits the tracker magically updates to say it's already built and on it's way!!
Me... I'm excited .. ordered mid June . Arrived at Dealers.. currently on holiday, pickup next week ... S4 avant ... can't wait ...

That was quick, also ordered my S4 Avant mid June but not likely to be delivered until end September...bet you are excited! Maybe down to options chosen?

I like to think that I got treated lucky as I ticked a few too many boxes (Drive assist, parking asssist, adaptive , sports diff, comfort pack etc.. . Its a once in a lifetime car for me ... as also saving university fees to save for son within next few years. Also , it's now or never : with brexit, such a car probably be 20-30% more expensive as the £ dives faster than a u boat and the trade tariffs increase post Mar 2019....
