I use the torque app or should i say i did. Ive only used it maybe once or twice. My friend told me about another app so i plugged my obd bluetooth adapter in and it has a red light. So i thought it was broke being a cheap one.

I ordered a new one, £12. And that isnt showing a green light also. Ive checked the fuse, tried to do bit of research on this and something do with K1 one or something. Am not sure what to do next

I use a vgate Bluetooth adapter. Works fine In my a3 and also worked in mysignia.

I have a cheaper one that is very tempermental and pretty much useless.

I think its bit more deeper than the adapters. As both arnt working but showing red lights instead of green

My adapter was £3.72 from a seller on ebay called Stark_Tech. I'm not gonna lie, I've no idea what lights its supposed to show but I only ever recall seeing a red one.... however... it works fine in talking to the torque app on my phone

Am sure it showed green light... if i wobble it. All the lights light up etc. Maybe dodgy connection

Can you see it on your phone under bluetooth devices?

No my phone won't find any of the adapters and both of them are showing red lights. I know one used to work as I used torque app with it

Still having trouble with this. I have 2 obd adapters. My old phone wouldnt find them. Well one it did..

Now its asked my new phone to pair with them once ive done they just then stop working. Both show red lights. If i wobble them the lights intermitten to green so am guessing possible loose connection? Annoying as i want to use carista and torque app.

Ive used torque app once so i know it worked at some point

Given that one used to work and the fact you've tried a couple now of which the light intermittently goes green if you play around with them, then it suggests to me that it's possibly a loose connection then with the OBD port itself.

Might be worth taking it to a reputable indy to have a look.

I have OBDeleven Pro adapter. Works well, not a single issue so far. I used it for long coding instead of VCDS to code bi-xenon headlights and headlight washers.

Yeah i dont think its the adapters am thinkin more its the obd port it self
