Top speed / half mile / roll race event ?

I was just wandering if anyone is considering arranging a top speed event or roll race half mile event ? I have done a couple with other forums with my old cars and would love to do an audi/vw one ?

How many people would want to do one?

I'd love to get involved with something like this, massively lacking facilities down in the southwest though.

Glad someone responded lol I would like a meet that doesn't just involve looking at stationery cars.

A rolling road shoot out would be good to

Went to a VAG drivers day at Castle Combe in August 2015 whilst I was down that way on Holiday. Nice track .
Had a whizz around the track be daft not too. First time around the track so learning the way and we were on Holiday down by Bournmouth with the caravan so had to be sensible.

Did you find much? Track days are easy over here but that requires some commitment (and usually a half a set of tyres and brake pads). I've looked at the same and not really found much, it seems really common in the US to do a bit of straight-line racing at an event. Kinda like GTI International but smaller and less formal.

I think I'll do an evening up at Santa Pod this autumn for a bit of fun. Spitfire Raceway down in Cornwall have an event tomorrow as well by the looks of it. I like the look of VMAX but looks like it's become a bit more of a supercar play day with a price to match.
