Hi all,
I don't know if my thread title is correct so apologies! I've seen on some A3's the headlights and rear lights come on when unlocking/locking the car. Seems pretty cool.

Am I right in saying that this can only be done if you have bi xenons and auto lights? I have the standard halogen lights and don't have auto lights. My car is a '59 reg sportback.

Many thanks in advance.

i did the coming home / leaving home on my friends 57 plate S3 but he did have the Autolight switch but there is a post going about on how you can do it without the Auto switch but it aeems a lot off hassle in my eyes for what you acheive .

That link only applys to pre-facelift cars.

The only facelift cars which can have ch/lh enabled without the rls only by coding is the MY09 with the old-style cecm. MY10 onwards have a BCM and this can not be done.

How can I find out if I have a BCM or CECM?

A few on the Facebook group have enabled this with Carista without auto lights on a 2009. I have asked their VIN to clarify.

More than likely a 58 or 09 plate which are MY09. Majority of 59 plates are MY10
