What have you done to your 8V today?

Haha, you went ahead and all done? What you gonna do about the reflectors?

LoL yeah was on the fence with this one but curiosity got the better of me :tearsofjoy:

Went with modules in the end due do time constraints (read as the wife was about!)

Side skirts finally arrived. Still need to sort out my rear aliexpress diffuser. Not connecting to the bumper at all.

Are those OEM side skirts?

As for the rear diffusers, looks nice and more aggressive. The ones I've seen like the ridger brand says it doesn't allow to fit on the Sline rear bumper....would like to know more about yours to see if i can fit on the sline version.

Yes OEM size skirts, just need to paint them and install now.

This diffuser is for the non Sline rear bumper and bought from AliExpress, however the vendor was not helpful in finding a solution to get it to fit properly (the tabs just are too short) and said to sell into my oem bumper and screw it in. Clearly do not want to do that and ruin it. I'm loving the new more aggressive back, just need to figure out how to get it secured permanently.

Finally got my rear end re-sprayed after an old man in a massive French Peugeot decided to bash in to me whilst i was shopping. 200euros at Audi in Lisbon. Well happy with that. Taunton Audi quoted me double. Now off for window tinting. If you guys drive abroad for holidays then see if you can get some work done on your car whilst away. You can save quite a bit of cash if you do some research :friendly wink:

Probably won't be OEM Audi if getting it done that quick. I requested OEM and it took 2 wks longer. They also had to get the ok from insurance company first, given the car only had 400miles it wasn't an issue.

Haha just don't really go many places, if we do it's in the Mrs car more than mine. She dislikes going fast after an accident years ago knocked her confidence so the S3 is wasted on her!

Retrofit Autolights and wipers by @DJAlix !! Premium service from them. I turn up mid morning and in 2h I had the retrofit done plus Sean managed very kindly to change days left to my next service inspection (mistake of Audi).

Very happy and cannot recommend enough Vagcarcoding.com now available on their North branch based in Manchester!!

How can I increase the brightness on DRL on nighttime using OBD11 on my MY18 car? (I assume the VCDS settings are the same on there with long coding).

You were right, they told me they had to check with my insurance company, got a call back to say yes it is all fine we'll be in touch with a date.

They'v now called and said it will be fitted tomorrow still? So I assume they will arrive with the wrong one tomorrow

900 miles in 15 days of owning it. Returning 70 mpg so far, I couldn't be happier.

Edit: Seems that Audi's claimed 68.9 mpg is pretty spot on, woah!

I slammed the brakes on my car today!

Idiot

Plenty of time for even the car ahead of him to have seen me!

Indeed! Good job I was a second or two slower than I could have been

I saw the car before him and even the one before that! So figured there was plenty of time and he would have seen me too!

Was a road closure and detour so I think he was blindly following a load of people... still no excuse to run across what is clearly a junction lol

I did have Dubmeister pressed plates but the years hadn't been kind to them and they looked a bit tired and tatty. I saw the UltraTek ones on here and thought they looked pretty smart so Audi supplied them on the car as new

Wasnt today but last week, detailed the car for hours and hours, actually over a few days it needed it.... 2 bucket method, actually 3 buckets, two with grit guards one just water... wheels separate mitt not mixed so as not to get any grit on bodywork done at the end, dryed, washed again clean water, I use hot water in one bucket, dryed, then DA'd a small area to remove a scuff, quick detailed it all over, all rubber/vinyl inc sunroof, windows, interior dusted with swissvax brush in hard to dust places, vacuumed thanks Henry, rubber matts washed, dried and treated, all leather vacuumed with soft brush then cleaned with leather wipes and finally treated by hand with Autoglym leather product, left for a few days to soak in then removed with leather cleaner wipes...Even detailed the petrol cap area which had got a bit scummy... then I left it sitting there for 4 or 5 days, was amazing how much fluff and dust was on it after time, then it rained and I got a free car wash.....Poorboys QD plus gives fine results and can be used in the sun, perfect on black cars :)
