Well the other day i notices some silly bas a tard has dented my car not a big dent but a notic3able one just at the passengers front wheel arch , and i have 2 little little like stone chips on the passengers door just right off the handle and lastly i have a minor scrape on the drivers side skirt not really noticable unless your shown it now please tell me what you think the quote was . i will post pics tomorrow to give you all a fair chance and let see who gets close . I have kept the quote as it was done on paper so the winner can see how close they got . Its all a bit off FUN lads so please join in
 
these pics are not off Lord Lichfield quality but i hope you can see the damage in all 3 pics and lets see if it helps with the estamates

i will give you all a clue so everyone has a fair crack at winning the virtual case off Lager off there choice one member who has posted already has hit the post
 
the dent and scratch should go without painting (and you can do on your own) but the 2 chips on door will need to be filled up and repainted whole panel so something around 150-250£
 
Is there a deadline for the grand reveal? We can't guess forever

Nah I'm near Reading so it'll probably be even more expensive! I'm guessing your quote is nearer to £300-£350 then.
 
Beware of Chips Away.

In the past I've been happy with them, but had occasion to call them in again a couple of months ago when I scatched the front bumper in my drive - see attached. Called them in they quoted, came a few days later and, well the second picture shows the result.

The guy was new and did his best, fair ply to him he had had 1 weeks training and well............ I'm sure with training he'll do well butnot me again. I was fully refunded

My dealer ( Audi West London ) now have an in house SMART repare service and to took it there. Same price ( actually slightly cheaper) and a perfect job, looks as good as new.

I'd suggest you have a chat to your dealer and see what they offer.

With my S3, as well as 1 year Dealer Extended Warranty I was also given 1 year Smart Paint Protection. I used this Smart Repair service a couple of weeks ago. A scratch on the front bumper looks good but the scuff on the rear bumper, the paint work looks good looking straight on but from an angle it's very blue (you can tell it's been repaired). The car is now in West London Audi (cam chain, the other one failed after 6 weeks) and I asked if they could look at the rear bumper too as I'm not happy with the finish. Service Boy said they have no Smart Service but they'll quote me on a full bumper respray.

I'll ask them again on Monday.

FWIW, 1 year cover was £340 with a £10 excess for each repair.

Exactly. I got mine resprayed and all the alloys refurbished apart from the roof (but they matched the paint perfectly) for £800 recently.

I recently hit my wife's A1 and caused pretty sh!t bumper damage, far worse than yours......and it cost me £167 from chips away and the job is first class.

You literally cannot tell it was damaged.

nope that was only to spray around where they would pull dent touch up door parts and touch up skirt . i have recently got a quote from a friend cash and he is doing job for 260 but the soeant include filling in the bits at the door . too do that part correctly you would nees to do a full respray off the whole aise off car to make sure it blended together correctly , well thats what he was saying
 
That's why I was asking - is your yellow a solid or pearlescent colour? Bit steep if all they're gonna do is repaint in patches! That usually means problems with the lacquer in the future. Give them a wide berth. If you want it done right you will need to take the side skirts off, and probably the front bumper too if the wing is being sprayed.

will post up pics once friend does it and will ask how he did it as i am hoping to see no trace off any damaged parts

Where?? does that include having any carpark dings removed?
How long did they have the car for?
