Hi Guys

Has anyone changed over a 2.0 TFSi to port injection? I know you can get the manifold but was more interested in the pistons and CR etc. To my mind you need the following items to do this

1. Inlet manifold like IEs
2. Set of injectors
3. Ally fuel rail
4. Fuel pumps feeding rail, swirl pot etc
5. Manual fuel reg boost controlled
5. ECU like MOTEC or Syvecs
6. Custom engine loom to connect it all up
7. Block up the injector holes in the head
8. Pistons? Now I know the current pistons are optimized for the GDI and also the high CR. So I guess you would need the same CR piston but with a crown better suited to port injection as opposed to GDI

Anyone done this?

Cheers
Mark.

I guess No one has done it then :( Bummer..
It doesn't mean to say it can't be done but as it's likely a first, you'd have to find all the problems and solutions by yourself. I guess you're trying to a oid the carbon build up on the inlet valves? A catch can on the crankcase ventilation system can avoid most of that.

Strewth a 2 year thread resurrection :)

Never noticed the post date, oops, I guess he just gave up then. Technically it's a step backwards anyway, better addressing the pcv system.

He is me and I never give up :) I actually went CDLA and finally got a decent ECU for racing, all problems solved nirvana awaits me..

CDLA? You got me there, care to explain?

I went to a CDLA Supa copa engine code and binned off the old engine totally.
