Thanks for the replies guys, I am like mega excited now, it's like torture waiting. Even my dealer seemed surprised when I rang him on Friday, although it's trying to get blood out of a stone with him most of the time but things looking up!

That's very interesting that your order date is same as mine but build date much earlier. Looks like ours are on the same production line, moved to QC today so hope you're right and we get our hands on the cars this month.

You are not in QC. The tracker is ahead of itself during the build phase. You will start your build this week. When the fracker next updates it will have left the factory which will probably be Wednesday or Thursday.

I suspect so, based on old posts in this forum, some orders were in QC for 9 days, let us see how long is ours..

I wish the same- before 25th July.
My dealer is in Crawley, close to sheerness so may have an advantage...not too sure..

Mine has been in QC since june 19th - which was my build week - still in QC as of right now..

Have you spoken to live chat? They might be able to give you a better update. Mine was in QC for 5days, but had actually left for port.
 
Hi, just spent some time reading the posts and all really helpful. We ordered a new Q5 in March but it's been on Order status 30 since 7th June and it just says Left San Jose on Your Audi.

I'm just a bit worried because most people here have gone from status 30 to 38/39 relatively quickly, has anyone had this much of a delay? It's been almost a month.

Also the order status backstage page now says Access Denied (https://www.audi.co.uk/myaudi-public-api/services/v1/orders/xxxxxxx). Anyone else having this problem?

We are mostly based in Europe; so I think it will be hard to find someone to comment on the time scale for your car. In the case of us in the UK - its around 100 miles of water between us and Germany so it arrives fast. But if we are talking getting to you in the US (San Jose?) then you will have to search for North American posters. (If that is a spelling auto correct problem then massive lol and contact Audi customer services tomorrow).

As for the the backstage page- that’s just an error caused by it not knowing your logged in.

That makes sense; they are built in Mexico.

I have a friend who works at Audi and he told me he had a Q5 that took a month to reach the UK after leaving the US. Remember it’s thousands of miles and has to go through the Suez Canal as well.

You should look on marine traffic and see if you can get any dates for how long it actually takes. maybe CS can tell you the name of the boat and you can track it like we all do from Emden.

Harsh !!

I just checked and thankfully mine hasn't moved, still week 30 24/7/17. Sunday night / early Monday seems to be when they update the production dates.
 
I. Was told,my car was build week 35,which is in the last week of August l believe , l haven't even got my order number....Can't even be ***** asking for it,The car will here when it's here to be honest that's just my thoughts instead relying on a tracking system that's totally unreliable

audi upgrades
My car was due to be built today onwards. My dealer rang me this morning saying "your car has been released to the port" probably be at least another month until it's in the U.K. Not a week like he stated.
 
Now been in QC for 15 days, online chat can't provide update.. though I'm not in a rush for the car as I'm planning on sept 1st collection, but still be nice to see some movement..

However, Audi have located a replacement car for you as below, with the only difference of having front and rear heated seats option instead of lighting package.


Obviously this change will incur no extra charge to you!


If it’s ok with you we can proceed to call off this car.


In the eventuality that the car does not arrive in time before you go on holiday, We will offer to lend you an A4 Avant on loan, this will need to be insured fully comprehensive by yourself.


I would appreciate if you could please accept the change and acknowledge by email.

My A3 started on 19 June. It's been at Emden for a week, but I see that Makassar Highway left for Sheerness today, so perhaps mine will be on it.

I think you should be on the phone with CS now as its 14 days which is the maximum it is meant to take from port to UK.

What are you going to do? Your ordered an A4/A5 right? To get a lighting package.

If you really want the lighting then you should ask them to order you a new car and then just take that A4 they are loaning you. If your not bothered and everything else is the same then you can take their offer.

What did you actually order? If you did order an S3 then what are they talking about?!

I've wanted an A6 Avant Black Edition, which luckily enough (not anymore) was already ordered by the dealer in exactly the specs & colour that I've wanted.

The lighting package was a just an add on that I was not fussed about.

I was a bit under pressure because on Friday the 14th I was planning to go for a road trip through France & Spain (4000 miles at least) coming back middle August.

Thinking about it now... They are doing me a favour... I'm not adding miles to my car and no finance to pay till I come back.

I'd be enquiring as to whether they'd like to retro fit the lighting pack at the dealership (I'm unsure of what's in it) - also FOC given that's the specification you wanted; after all part of the whole buying a new car process is that you get the car you want/can budget for

As for covering the insurance on an A4 in the meantime...an additional expense to you one assumes whilst you still have another vehicle to get rid of prior to part ex or retained ready for private sale whilst your actual car gets delivered

I don't know what say, do these things 'just happen' - seriously that's some flaw in the ordering process

- Active internal door reflectors

Really not fussed about it!!

Ah well if that's it, definitely you may have struck on a bit of a winner then by sheer luck.

Enjoy the A4 Avant whilst you want, I suspect it may drive quicker than some S4s on the road ;)

So mine has now left for Gyor having only been in QC for 3 days. From start to leaving Gyor has only been 8 days. Seems very quick...trying not to get too excited as I'm sure there'll be some horrific delay somewhere.

I will call them today and find out. Last time I spoke to them they said 14 working days?

There's only been two ships grom Emden to Tyne the full time it's been sitting there:(

Car production is very quick these days, but status 21-24 are fake and auto generated. Only if you contact customer services, can you confirm the real status. Status 30 is the first "real" one that tells you that your car really exists now

So frustrating isn't it! Mine took 13 working days too leave for Sheerness, whilst others had cars arrive after mine at Emden and get on boats, also to Sheerness, before! It seems to be completely random and disorganised which is odd for Germany. Apparently some cars go through another QC at the port and this can put them out of sequence as well. After 14 working days (i.e. on the 15th working day), they will mark the car a priority. When bad weather happened, many cars were waiting 4+ weeks at Emden...so at least the weather is good! I hope you don't wait too much longer.

Finally my TTS arrived at the dealer's prep centre on Monday. Arranged for car pick-up on Saturday afternoon.

That's good news. Mine left the factory 4 days before you and Audi CS tell me it could be another week before it gets a boat to Sheerness!
 
Thats s*it fella was surprised how quick it got on a boat to be honest, but still gonna be just shy of 6 months from ordering when I hopefully collect end of next week. Only got a few miles from port to dealer, only delay I see is cant sort finance paperwork till the weekend cos am away in Lakes at the min.

But the dates are bit messed up- status 23 on 01 July and 24 on 03 July, then 30 on 01 July.. not sure it is true..

I'm on status 30 now - left Gyor. How do I track the shipping? Can I use live chat to ask for more accurate dates? How much should my dealer know?

Tracker now says that mine is on a boat! Status 39, perhaps it was on Makassar Highway, but loaded just after the tracker updated.

Great news fella, think mines on the Wesser Highway due in Grimsby early Thursday but marine traffice showing expected arrival as tonight so car should be in uk later this evening
 
Think tracker slightly ahead showing as arrived in UK, but marine traffic showing Wesser Highway still on its way down the Humber, should hopefully be good for pick up at end of next week!!

*Update Wesser Highway anchored in mouth of Humber must have missed tide, looks like will be docking as per schedule arrival with next tide at around 04:30 tomorrow then*
