So my BITDI is a black editon model with no chrome on it apart from the exhaust tips.

Audi a6 30 bitdi tuned by mtm photo gallery 1

Ive never really liked them chrome and thought about swapping them out for these miltek ones. It means removing the Exhaust cutting and welding and totally possible to do. Will be approx £350 inc fitting.

Instead after viewing this im thinking about going down this route using these paints and painting exhaust in situ masking off etc.

Heat Resistant to 425 degrees Centigrade.

Any thoughts or experience on this would be appreciated.

The only thing l would be worried about is cleaning the tips after painting.

I'm not sure how dirty the BiTdi tips get, but on the S7 (before l changed to the carbon tips) the chrome tips would be coated in gunk every few days, which took some cleaning....

not convinced it would take to the metalic surface without chipping ? i have these which lets you go quad exhaust and keep the sound generator pipe, and they are specifically made for the bitdi

What was the process for changing to the carbon tips for your car chop and weld ?

There is a fabrication/exhaust shop next door to Ecotune in hillington that could quote you for the job. Also when i was i nJD engineering there was guy a who i met that swapped the rear valance from his BITDi to an S6 one to accomodate twin pipes. He said it was a direct swap no issues. I would verify this from another source though before commting to buying one.

I went for the full on chop!
Had the front resonators and centre box removed completely, and the rear boxes replaced by hollow sports ones. The carbon tips were added as part of the package :racer:

mines is an S6 rear valance and the super sprint tips are a direct cut n weld which the guys next to ecotune done, tho i must say i need to go back ad they stick out too far on one side.. the super sprint pipes were the best and only ones which seemed to accomodate the sound generator outlet too..

Can you post a pic up please. What was your overall cost ? I see these are £1120 on the super sprint website for left and right handed pair.
