This post maybe come across as a stupid post but i am very new to the modiding game very late starter lol. Now i have been told that there is a Black Edition optic Grille that will fit my S3 pre-facelift model 57 plate but no one seems to have left the age range off car that i can get from and i have lookes through the internet trying to find info but to no avail so any help out there thanks in advance
 
8P0 853 651 A 3FZ around £360 from your dealer.
 
that must be the one i got a quote for but trying to get the age range so i can buy 2nd had . like a guy on here has one from a 2009 black edition grille but not sute if that would dit mine
 
Thats the only one that will fit your car. There is a distinct visual difference in the 09+ grills.
 
i am kinda lost there or did the first Black edition come out in 2009 , its just i am having diffcultity in understamd this pre facelift and faclift thingy i get some off it but other bits i cant fathon out like my car will tale black wdition grille and 20011 plate back lights straight swap ( now i see the 2011 ) but nothing for age range off Bl Ed . hope you understand what i mwan
 
The prefacelift 2004-2008 was available with a black optic grill, the facelift 09-13 was available as a Black Edition trim level, the prefacelift wasn't.

Some items will fit the older vehicles such as the tail lights but anything on the front end will require a full 09+ facelift retrofit including bumper, bonnet, headlights, front panel and wings.

ok dokie cheers that man now i have got what the others where meaning and wondered why no-one had put a age range in . Just got really confused when people put Black edition"s grille and someone put in the Black edition optic grille which i have seen and yip £360 but looks kinda stupid as i have honeycomb fog grille ( are there any different ones off them that you know off that would fit mine )
 
You could probably find something aftermarket but the quality may not be the same. Geunine OE is always the best.
 
totally agree tries eben to find an aftermarket and no joy been trying the companies that people have advised on here well (Xenon uk ) and they dont seem to have and i looked at the RS3 conversion kit meant to be straight swap but once i explained to them about headlight washer housing in bumper they said it qould be a straight swap just what i expected , its a frustrating car but no point off selling it as get nowt for it and better to put the money into it and bring it back ro life
 
Unfortunately I am in the same position as you, your only option is one from Audi as there are NO aftermarket grills that fit the preface S3.

But they so come at a high cost . going to go down the spray black road and lacquaer afterwards
 
You could always pick up a honey comb grill on ebay I've just bought one for my 2011 a3
 
Oh how I have tried to get one off those in fact even tried to get the A3/S3 to RS3 conversion whole front bumper honey comb grille for the front and the fog lights advertised on Ebay for 2004/2008 models , but the suppliers on ebay have forgot to mention that these bumpers don't have the housing for the headlight washers , even some off them that advertise the item don't even have the holes for the head light washers so alas I will have to stick to the boring Grey or Matt Black grill for mine or go down the respray road , but I have come up with an alterative but very costly but just might happen so watch this space, pictures are off the parts that E-bat sellers forget to tell anyone who has these on the inside off there bumper, so buyers beware .

Did you look down the whole off the thread from top to bottom , cause if you did you would see in my post it says S3 57 plate pre facelift and if you look at your first web address and read down to the end you will see it States in big letters WON'T FIT S3 , LOL LOL LOL

What are you laughing for? Yes I did read your post and I also read the advert. I didn't say it would fit but I was just highlighting the difference between the 2.
 
audi upgrades
i was laughing at putting up the post cause further up it explained what would fit and what wouldn't fit . just made me chuckle thats all
