yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Wife ordered a cabrio in early June. She got an email today giving the order number and inviting her to track the progress of the car in YourAudi. So she's set up her account this evening and then tried to track her order, but is getting the response that her order number and postcode don't match Audi UK's records. Is this par for the course or does it perhaps take a while for the account to be set up?

I would suggest double checking with the dealer but I had this issue too and even after the email it still took a couple more days. As you may read the Audi tracker system is as unreliable as you can get.

I tried asking online chat for a timeline for delivery to the dealer. The standard answer was "up to 7 days for the dealer to raise a transport order and 3-5 days for the delivery"

When I said that the dealer had already raised the transport order the poor guy short circuited and was only able to repeat himself. So I tried rephrasing the question like a lawyer in a movie but I think I broke him. RIP Derek.

This happened with me.

try setting it up with "registered by my company"

Use your order number, usually 8 digits long starting with '2' Use Audi as the company, from memory I used 'Bolton Audi' or maybe 'Audi Bolton' then use your home postcode.

It may not actually track until the factory accepts your order, I think it took about 10 days from the point I signed the order form before I could get the tracker to work, this could depend on how quickly your dealer enters the order on the system.

Finally have a build date :).

I don't want to annoy you - but its up to the dealer to raise the transport order. My understanding (which could be wrong) is that once they raise the order it takes a couple of days not 10.

However if it was likely to take over a week then it would make no sense for the dealer to tell me he will try to get it to me this week.

Also second week of July! I hope not; I would push them more. I would be very annoyed if I had to wait 2 more weeks when its at the port in this country. Ill be annoyed if I have to wait until next week.

Although part of me thinks the car isn't likely to reach the dealer before Wednesday.
I think I will get the car about a week from now, 10 days max. But I will clarify the transport order with the dealer to make sure that is being done properly. It seems odd that it is not up to him to sort that. He claims that is done by Audi and all he can do is push them rather than order the transporter himself. Anyway, seems I am getting very close, and this forum has been very informative.

I'm handing over all ship news to andreibacau, he's spot on with his maritime info :)

Back to dry land for me.

That is not what I have been told. The dealer has to raise the transport order. That is why there can be a delay as the order hasn't been raised so the car stays at the port until they do.

Now how much control over when it arrives; that is another matter. I haven't looked back over the status updates yet for 40 to 60/70, I will probably do that in a minute... but this part seems to be down to the transport company. It could be fast; as in a couple of days or slow as in a week. I'd like to think that if my car wasn't likely to turn up this week that the dealer would have said its highly unlikely to turn up this week! But we shall see.

Just had a look at my timeline with the R. Arrived in sheerness on 7th June 2016. Left sheerness on 14th June - so 7 days exactly. Arrived at dealer on 15th June. And picked it up on 17th (10 days) I also did the finance papers on the 11th June. Eastbourme Caffyns didn't waste time on that.

If we follow the same timeline then my car will arrive next Wednesday at the dealer and I'll pick it up next Friday. I hope it's quicker but I'm not sure it will be.

Yes it can take a while to be entered on the system.

Had one final go with online chat today and they said the TTS was finally on a boat and they knew that since this morning. So clearly had a deliberately unhelpful customer services / sales dept person earlier. What a relief.

I would have gone into another chat and double checked it. And then phoned them up and checked it. Or I'd have trouble believing it after all the hassle you have had.

Good news. Hope you get your car soon.

Well I was happy ending the day on a high whether it was true or not! LOL . But the dealer called me this morning and confirmed it is indeed on the boat, so hopefully the rest of the car's journey will be a little more "efficient".

On a side note, Rockies Highway is an odd one. Arrived at Emden Sunday morning.....still at the port with no destination announced yet!

Transporter full of gift-wrapped Audis spotted heading south on A1M from Newcastle. Hope some of you have one of those. Mine still sitting at Emden (status 38).

status 70, s4 delivery on thursday.

When did you go from 40 to 60?

The dealer told me he raised a transport order but I just have to wait for it to be collected which I hoped would mean collection for me this week; but based on the fact I haven't heard anything today (and yes I know its only Tuesday) but I think I am going to run out of days before the end of this week and end up having to wait until next week.

Took 6 weeks from order to get an email from Audi and for the order to be set-up on the tracker.
Had my order number from the dealer after a week or so and kept trying the tracker which wouldn't find the order. When it finally did pop up on Monday my S3 had already left the factory on its way to Emden, Status 30!

When did yours go status 38? I have a feeling ours left the factory on the same day (or at least tracker went status 30 on Friday). Mine still at status 30.

Hi
This is my first post in this forum - really appreciate all the updates you all are posting here...

I have a build date of my A3 - 03 July - Ordered on 19th May.
Trying to use the tracker- https://www.audi.co.uk/myaudi-public-api/services/v1/orders/<Order_Number>
It is showing me access denied- is it working for anyone? or I am doing something wrong?

Will keep posting updates as I get any on my car.

Config- A3 | 2.0 TDI | 184 | Comfort Pack| Virtual Cockpit| Advanced Key| Daytona Grey|

You need to log on to audi.co.uk/youraudi first, open a new tab, then do the api url

Mine moved to 38 today. Build started 19 June (BW 25)

Ah, in which case I assume mine will go 38 tonight and I'll join the long queue for a boat at Emden. Mine was also BW25, although it actually moved to QC on 19th.

Not working for me either and I am logged into YourAudi too - also noticed the Online Help has stopped working again?

I actually find that when online help stops showing up on my laptop it still works on my phone; so try that.

Spoke to the dealer today he doesn't know when the transport will collect the car; I am thinking next week is looking more likely but he did say they would see if we can complete the paperwork first which I hope is the case so all I have to do is collect the car.

I would actually say the worse part is waiting for the transport to the dealer - that is so frustrating when the car is so close and in the UK and your waiting on a logistics carrier to decide which day they are visiting.

I just tried and it is working. Make sure you are doing this, assuming Windows:

1. Use Internet Explorer and go to http://www.audi.co.uk/youraudi/youraudi.html and login.
2. Leave that browser tab open and open a new I.E. tab and go to http://https://www.audi.co.uk/myaudi-public-api/services/v1/orders/
3. Click the Open option that shows up at bottom of the page.
4. Pick Notepad to open the file.

If you are using a different browser or OS the instructions will differ, but I can assure you it is all working right now.

Here is my timeline for reference:

{"orderStatus":"40","statusDate":"2017-06-27T01:05:05+0100"},{"orderStatus":"39","statusDate":"2017-06-24T01:04:40+0100"}
ORDERSTATUS 38: 2017-06-19
{"orderStatus":"30","statusDate":"2017-06-15T01:05:52+0100"},{"orderStatus":"24","statusDate":"2017-06-12T00:00:00+0100"},{"orderStatus":"23","statusDate":"2017-06-10T00:00:00+0100"},{"orderStatus":"22","statusDate":"2017-06-09T00:00:00+0100"},{"orderStatus":"21","statusDate":"2017-06-08T00:00:00+0100"},{"orderStatus":"20","statusDate":"2017-05-20T01:07:54+0100"},{"orderStatus":"10","statusDate":"2017-05-12T01:07:20+0100"}],"vehicleData":{"make":"Audi","model":"S1}

Status 38 does not stay in the timeline, but I have added it above for clarity.

I think status 38 onwards lags behind realtime by up to 24 hours. Others have said that up to status 30 the tracker is actually a day ahead of real status, but cannot confirm that.

My dealer has now told me to expect my car next week, so about 10 days after it gets to status 40. I will update when I get more information.

Status codes and meanings are nicely described here https://www.skodacommunity.de/attachments/sli-pdf.38640/

One of the big uncertainties is when you go from 38 to 39, but there are constantly ships leaving Emden for Tyne, Grimsby/Immingham, and Sheerness. Use Marine Traffic to see them, but you have no idea which one you'll be on until after the fact, and only if you speak to your dealer or Audi CS.

I think this last stage port to dealer is even more difficult - truth is that no point checking the tracker once its in the UK - unless you literally can wait and not contact the dealer - because at this stage its up to the dealer and the transport company how quickly it happens...

Can confirm car is with dealer, I asked him if he'd be so kind as to send me photos as it got off the transporter

He missed the unloading but took photos of it all wrapped up once unloaded - cannot stop grinning

Off to sign some paper tomorrow, insurance has all been arranged (I'll post a full update tomorrow), may put a new thread out tomorrow just so I'm not cluttering up this thread :) or indeed use the FL photos thread :D

It's been a long wait, I signed the paperwork on my order on 10th Feb (which happened to be the day the RS3 SportBack was officially announced in the UK), the estimated delivery date on the paperwork reads 12th June...

Be interesting to see how long it takes for the tracker to update given the dealer advises the car is in the UK and the next status would be to advise of that...
Looks like you are very close to getting your car. Your post above is why I thought you ordered RS3.

Your dealer has been excellent in taking photos, giving you a choice of number plates (yup, we all googled SSV), and contacting you when your car was at U.K. port. And your car got from UK port to dealer in 5 days, including a weekend. Wow.

On the other hand. You ordered this car on 10 Feb! That's nearly 5 months waiting. Mine is an S1 ( thanks again for letting me into this forum) but should take less than 2 months. My dealer has been a bit less proactive than yours, but he's been ok.

Thanks for the updates craigwhelan, and happy driving.

Rockies Highway just left Emden for Sheerness. Could be good news for the southern 38ers.

Weser Highway heading for Grimsby tomorrow.

I would be interested to know how yours turned up so fast - however you also said before it was at a different port so it may be that it wasn't quite as quick as it appears!

My dealer doesn't know when my car will turn up; just the transport order is raised and its due to be delivered soon.

You did really well to get a build next week when you only ordered late May. I ordered 3rd wk April and my build is currently 24th July.

You'll probably find if you can get https://www.audi.co.uk/myaudi-public-api/services/v1/orders/<Order_Number> to work that your build has already started. (Status 20 onwards)

I have the 184 in my Golf and its an absolute peach, on a decent run it will do 55+ MPG. You'll find MPG is incredibly sensitive to the ambient temp. Warm weather = good MPG

I'm still sitting at Emden  doesn't seem to be many ships to Tyne which is frustrating.

Well we still haven't got YourAudi to work (and thanks to all those who offered assistance) but it doesn't really matter because today we've received an email from the dealer to say that the car is 'awaiting ship' and they are expecting to get it late next week. From what I read on here that might slip a bit, but that's OK because my wife's retirement and birthday aren't until late July. Not only that, the extra time gives the UK stock market a chance to rise again so that I'm better placed to pay for it! (Bit pessimistic about the stock market though at the moment. We need some good news to lift it and there's not a great deal of that around at the moment)

I don't want to be negative; but this wait here in the UK is twice as frustrating than waiting at the port.

I am trying very hard to not email the dealer again today... even though I want to. I can't do anything tomorrow anyway due to work and its not highly unlikely I would be able to collect before Friday. So its looking like next week. So probably no point in contacting the dealer.

Still I can't believe that there is a way of knowing exactly when the transport company is collecting the car!

Update: my will power lasted 19 minutes then sent an email!

Hmm. The list is wrong

Status 38 - arrived at outward port (Emden)
Status 39 - on the boat

Also worth adding that status 21-24 are fake and just auto triggered by your build week . The first useful status is 30
