Hi! Anyone else removed as refitted the door card including the aluminium strip on the the A4 Cab?

I've done both doors to replace the scratched handles and the edge of the trim (aluminium on mine) and the end where it meets the front of the car no longer stays tucked in even though all the clips went back in and don't appear to be broken.

As the trim piece sticks out about 5 mm, it smacks against the side of the dash when the doors are closed and has caused damage to the trim piece which has also been replaced and cost £70.

I can't figure out how to keep the top corner of the door trim tucked in, was adhesive used at factory or am I missing something?
Anyone else who's removed their door cards have this gap and marks where the trim is hitting the dash? Pics attached

I assume its like the saloon/avant models so there is also a clip right where the trim is sticking out.
It doesnt look like its located properly.
I'd take the trims off again and familiarise yourself where the clips are and reattach...
They sometimes take a bit of wiggling to get all the clips aligned.

I took mine off my cab recently and have that exact same issue. Tried for ages to keep it stuck back properly but it just pops out again.

Can anyone help locate these clips? I wonder if there's anything different about the Cab trim as I thought I'd carefully put it back together just the way it was and didn't notice any other clips. I'd used some adhesive in an effort to keep it tucked in but it didn't last a day..

HI guys i've got an s4 b7 cab have had the drivers door card off to install the roof remote control module . the aluminium strip is the first piece which you obviously take off I have the carbon fiber versions I would take them off and check that you are pushing the strip fully back in the card it has a hook type clip which holds it in at the door lock end. failing that as long as all the clips or bullet style pins are there it should fit maybe the socket for the last pin is worn and the pin is popping out ?
