Is there such a thing, or is the 6 speed for the 1.9 TDI's only for the Quattro's?

B5 1.9tdi fwd 6 speed gearbox?

Not aware of any B5 FWD with a 6 speed. Did look at putting a B6 6 speed in but it's not straight forward so after looking at it I decided to stick with my 5 speed.

even quattro 1.9's only got a 5 speed in the B5.
The V6's got a 6 speed and it should fit, but you'll need the subframe and mounts

There are 6-speed 01E FWD manual gearboxes, that will work just fine, from the following models:
C4 100 / A6 2.5 V6 TDI FWD.
C5 A6 2.5 V6 TDI FWD.
Use a B5 S4 / 2.5 V6 TDI Quattro shifter, and its mounts, with any B5 quattro subframe, and that's it.

surely needs a V6 subframe rather than a Quattro one? The V6's use two flat gearbox mounts, whereas the 4 cyl cars had one flat and one upright.
The C4 A6 2.5tdi was an I5 not v6 so the mounts should be the same... iirc.. Though finding a 6speed from one of those will be fun.
