So I picked up my TT S-Line Ultra on Saturday from an independent Dealership in Ayr, Scotland. Today I get a message saying i have 30 days until an inspection is needed. I spoke to the local Audi Dealership this morning in Stirling and they have said that this is for an interim service. Should this not have been serviced before I received it?

I'm trying to remember when I had my A3, I think there was some kind of inspection shortly after delivery but I don't remember. I'm sure they just want to make sure everything is okay but an interim service seems unusual.

I should have said the car isn't new. Its a 65 plate with 12,000 miles. I sent an email to a local independent VAG Specialist. Their opinion was that the service had been done but the counter not reset. Waiting for clarification from the selling dealership

Did anything ever come if this? I have the same problem. Service isn't due but when last one was done the counter was not reset so it now says inspection is due. I want to sell car this week. How can I get the message to disappear?

Still trying to sort out. Border Cars, Ayr said it was inspected/serviced, so i have asked for proof of this. They have said that they will pay to have the counter reset locally by a VAG Specialist Garage.

Ok I have proof it was serviced just not sure how best to get the reminder removed, by whom and how much this will cost. Any ideas?

try some of the coders on the forum or a local diagnostic place near you

Thanks but sorry I don't really know what that means. I don't do cars.

Thanks. Are they reputable or am I gonna get arrested!!? ;-) I was expecting a list of garages. My closest guy in Spartan36. Sounds a bit dodgy!!! Are they?

No, just folks on the forum who can help you out for beer money i think. contact them and see what they say

Haha doesn't sound that dodgy does it? there are a few garages on the map but most of the guys on there are enthusiasts who bought the VCDS cable so that they don't have to pay a garage every time they want something done on their car. Most of us will happily help you out for beer money.

Updating this thread. Border Cars said that

"also spoken to the workshop who have assured me the interim service has been done by ourselves, every car is checked before it goes out very thoroughly."

However, I have asked on several occasions for the paperwork for this and am getting no response from Sales Exec, Sales Manager or Customer Care. There is also the matter of being told by sales that the finance on my part exchange (MINI) was settled via BACS on 19th June. However, MINI FS didn't receive payment via Standing Order until 26th June.
Not a very good experience

Have now written to the group operations director for border cars. Still not getting anywhere. Terrible after sales and customer care
