Looking at changing my CVT box oil, 2013 A4 avant, this plug would appear to be the drain and fill, as i understand an insert has to be removed to get all the oil out.
Has anyone done this job and can the oil be fitted with a filling syringe or does it have to be gravity filled ?

Im not 100 per cent on the gearbox types as it appears some had external filters and others didnt on my model year, heres a rear piccy

Do you have VCDS as you need to monitor the temperature of the oil .. you can't simply drain and refill.

Imo you'd be better getting a specialist to carry out the job using parts from TPS.

No i don't have VCDS, i thought the monitoring of temp was just to find out when it was at operating temperature so as to get the correct level.
I spoke to Audi Harrogate who quoted me £225inc for the job they could have booked me on Monday, i guess they didn't have much on.
So i thought i'd speak to two local specialists, one quoted 220 the other 222 or less 30 if no filter fitted, not really sure why an independent specialist would be the same price as Audi. I spoke to TPS who tell me there is no oil filter in mine, well external type, and the oil retails at £16.41 +vat
At these prices i may as well use the dealer, at least if there is any software issues/update etc they should pick up on it.

Audi fixed price for the multitornic for 2.0L and under is £199 all in .. listed on their website.

LOL, well she clearly quoted me for the S Tronic by the looks of it, think im going to take it to Autotechnica at Hull, £165 inc, specialist in Audi and seem to know what there talking about, while the dealer would always seem the best option at that price i still have my reservations

Andy really knows his stuff, if I remember he used to do the multitronic oil on my B6 for £99 but it was always done at the same time as a full service so maybe that brought the labour down? Plus it was a few years ago now so inflation and that
