1 I made and seems to work just as a ideaThat's pretty hot! I had a 300hp Saab 9000 a few years back and I always remember the manifold and turbo glowing bright orange after a bit of a blast, was really common but a bit worrying the first time you see it.
Don't suppose you would know what those plastic tabs are called? I can't find any info online. Maybe I'll find one being broken somewhere close by.
Not sure what to do about the maf as it won't run with the standard one and I can't get a part number off the working one as he's sealed it in there with some nasty gunk, I would probably ruin the sensor removing it. The saga continues. But it's useable for now anyway. Next step is making up a heat shield for the turbo which looks fairly straight forward (famous last words)
No. All I have to go on is that part number. The plot thickens........i cant find any reference to that number on the Bosch sensor at all.
have you found what its actually from?
Crackle paint. It looked ok to begin with but every time someone sees it they say "what's that?" And then rub it which makes bald spots.Nice one. Is the rocker cover crackle paint or really grubby?
you really need to get it working on a known sensor.No. All I have to go on is that part number. The plot thickens........
The vr6 has 468 01 3 Ayou really need to get it working on a known sensor.
What number was on the original 1.8T sensor and the original VR6 sensor?
I'm guessing it's not genuine. I saw the part number and bought it but I have a feeling it may have said 'equivalent to', and then the correct number. I have quite a collection of wrong mafs accumulating lol.is the 1.8T one genuine? Maybe its a fake and thats why it doesnt work?
I've definitely not got that bit. I'll have a better look tomorrow and see if I have any sign of it being there in the past. It's had an engine swap so may not have been replaced.
