yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Rotterdam and Barcelona (also due into Emden) are both to be bound to Tyne. port of Tyne publishes a weekly timetable. So all hopes on Makassar for Sheerness.
City of Barcelona is heading for Tyne... but left from Gdandk in Poland. So no good to us.

City of Rotterdam is docked in Emden, but only got there this evening so no next destination yet.

I'm going to buy an anorak, tea flask, lunch box, and a notebook to go ship-spotting in Emden. I might as well, it's sort of taken over my life :)

Lol the thing is its almost pointless looking to see which boats we may be on because you can't deny the logic that those posters who have been waiting 2-3 weeks should be on first... and we are at the back of that queue.

So...
It looks like Danube Highway is not back in Emden till 04/07 & we have Thames Highway in Emden on the 28/06 both with Sheerness as destination.
It must be another company doing this route, lets just find it.

Hold up! You mean you were at status 38 for a month?? Geez then it really isn't a first come first serve system.

I think this schedule must be incomplete because it does not mention the 3 other KESS ships that we can track going to and from Emden:Weser Highway, Neckar Highway and Makassar Highway.

What I can see on MarineTraffic app right now is that Makassar Highway is in Emden, but no next destination yet. The only other car carrier in Emden is City of Rotterdam, also no next destination.

Makassar and Neckar Highway are the ones to watch to see if they are going to Sheerness

What time did status39 show? Standard 1am update like in factory or more precise time like status30?

Last five status' - quite a specific time but I might suggest that would be logged probably only down to the data batch processing time rather than anything else. Of course, if the theory is correct, this information is out of date by up to 3 days...who knows, the dealer may ring today and say it's on its way to them! (yep, still holding out optimistically)

That's good info. One month is a long time between status 30 and 39. Some people lucked out with just a week at Emden waiting for a boat.

Keep us updated with your car's progress, much appreciated. Hope you get your car soon.

I think they parked your car at McDonald's and forgot about it

Seriously though this is good news. Hopefully this shows the backlog is being cleared and maybe we will be on the next ship with johnstatt!

We just don't know when the next ship is.

However let's assume (safely I'd say) that our cars won't reach the UK until at earliest middle of next week on the basis we don't know when the next ship is and maybe the next one is already full. So I think no changes until next week at the earliest which is a shame! (But happy to be wrong!).

It would be interesting to know when did all of us got code 38.
Maybe we can figure it out how bad is backlog and when is starting to clear out.
Just reply to this message with your date.

I got 38 on 20/06 (I'm probably last in the queue)

38 on 07/06
39 on 22/06
40 on 23/06 (assumed, unless they leave it on the boat and take it back)

Sheerness.

Update:
City of Rotterdam destination reported - Tyne
Makassar Highway destination reported - Sheerness

:)

38 on 20/06
Back of the queue same as andreibacau
At least we know there is another boat coming this week.
They can usually fit 800 cars, if we only knew how many are there...

City of Rotterdam destination reported - Tyne
Makassar Highway destination reported - Sheerness

:)
City of Rotterdam is on the move, to Tyne as you reported. Just pulling out of Emden right now.

Makassar Highway gives Sheerness ETA Sunday 25th, but they often get to destination ahead of the ETA.

Danube Highway is off the Emden run now. Going from Sheerness to Zeebrugge, so we can forget about that boat.

Neckar Highway will be in Emden tonight, so could be a candidate.

I believe (if my screen grabs I kept are anything to go by) I went '30' on the 22/23rd May and then 38 on the 29/30th May

Don't forget guys that these boats take VW, Porsche and Audi to the UK. So its just Audi cars.

I went 38 on the 19/6.

I think us guys who got 38 this week should be prepared for the cars to get the boat some point next week. I really think your just going to frustrate yourself hoping to be on the Makassar Highway - which if its due Sunday suggests either very late departure Friday or Saturday. I think we will if lucky be on a boat next week and not the next one (but again I hope I am wrong!).

My dealer said they don't hand over on weekends - I assume because they can't have the finance company pay them over the weekend - so really what I want to avoid being annoyed is a boat arriving on the weekend. Because if it arrives any other day of the week I am pretty sure the weekend will arrive before the finance is sorted. (The dealer I am using in Epsom is obviously a smaller dealer so I guess they are less flexible with wanting the money from the finance company first; whereas a big chain probably isn't concerned.).

And Skoda, if I'm not wrong

Dealer has just been in touch - the car is in the UK! Next time he'll be in touch will be to say when we'll see the car :)

This being true, it does confirm watching the shipping lanes will only serve to drive you crazy if you think there's any real-time nature to the status update on the yourAudi site :D

This boat, that boat, at least your cars are all built, mine's still a pile of bits likely spread accross Europe at various suppliers.

Current build week is 30, 24th July. Much I like to complain, it has at least come forward 3 weeks since ive been able to track it.
I can see mine getting held up at the port when everyone is screaming to get cars delivered for the 1.9.17 when the 67 plate is launched.

When will the production date / order lock?

It's been a long wait, I signed the paperwork on my order on 10th Feb (which happened to be the day the RS3 SportBack was officially announced in the UK), the estimated delivery date on the paperwork reads 12th June...

Be interesting to see how long it takes for the tracker to update given the dealer advises the car is in the UK and the next status would be to advise of that...

Yeah, more interested in cars than boats... usually.

I have been obsessing about my new car (S1 obvs) and been watching lots of videos to pass the time.

My two faves are:

Very entertaining, although I'm not sure if I'm laughing with these characters, or laughing at them :)

Any of you lot seen good vids on your cars?

I'd avoid getting too excited. Who knows how long it will take to the dealer. And then there is paperwork still to be done and PDI and although I think they should do this in one day it's seem they don't.

Audi Online chat? where has it gone? Tried at work, and at home, tried different browser types, still nothing!! Any ideas anyone???

It's still offline. Although there is nothing they have told me so far that the tracker did not catch up with within 24 hours.

I didn't even bother talking to online chat or any audi customer service as there is no boat today... so it literally can't move or update.

Tomorrow is a different matter. I am not sure however that online chat know that the car is due to go onto the boat. It is either on it or not on it. And so your car could be on the ramp about to drive in the boat but if it hasn't been scanned yet they will say its waiting...

The so called sales team do seem to know more though as they said my car would be on a boat on Friday that would be unloaded probably Monday. So I hope that wasn't made up nonsense. Only way to get their input is to call customer services and specifically ask if you can have an update from the sales team .

I think they are just telling you want you want to hear... but tomorrow you will know. Get onto live chat in the evening and we will see if its true.

I hope it is - the sooner your car is on the way then the sooner mine and others will be as well.

The shipping forecast at 20:45 hours...

Makassar Highway in Emden, leaving for Sheerness ETA 00:00 Sunday 25th but will prob be there Saturday.

Neckar Highway one hour from Emden, and will probably turn around in 24-48 hours. maybe Grimsby?

That's it.

Hey look, you've got a yellow car, omg so have I and look my ar5e is on fire, omg so is mine....

I bet Ant n Dec are sh1tting themselves.

Got to admit, ive searced YouTube for A3 videos, I haven't anything that great. Theres Matt Watson doing the carwow review and some incredibly dull bloke reviewing his White FL Sline.

Got to admit the yellow S1 looks pretty good, not sure about the plastic seat backs...

So Scott, give me a complete run down on what you've done to your car, oh and do you have a girlfriend?

Just teasing, clearly his car is his passion

Yup, these YouTubers are such a bunch of muppet rich boys, but they do make me laugh. There sure are some dull reviews out there. What is it with South African and Aussie reviews? Must be a cultural thing.

Yes, primary colours plastic seats (that's a £1.5K Quatro Interior Pack to you sir) are a bit dodgy. You can get them black, although high gloss. I decided to avoid them, but I can see the appeal of the look too. Did an Audi track day, and the S1 had them. Not comfortable at all.

Ant's in rehab, so I hope he's not behind the wheel at the minute. Bless him. Although, maybe would cheer him up? Driving a fast car makes me smile immediately.

No ship Sherlock - Well actually, there is. As andreibacau reported, Makassar Highway is on route to Sheerness. Just left 30 mis ago on 20 hour journey. Some of us 38ers might be aboard. For any Canadian/US folk here, Splendid Ace is on the way to Halifax. Neckar Highway is now in Emden, and will probably be heading for the UK (likely Grimsby, maybe Sheerness) in the next 2 days. So ships are regularly picking up cars, but we have no idea who is on which boat. Not even FIFO as far as I can tell.

If you don't mind watching S3 specific content, TR Hamza (who's on audi-sport.net) has a whole bunch of content, Supercars of London did a 'new daily' video with some highlight content which no doubt everyone will know by now (was recorded ages ago), Chris Simm and Hudson Manx provide some content (some tech FAQ videos which may be of help) and there's also 'ThatBlueS3' who I believe also is on audi-sport.net

There's also JTW who does all sorts of cars and a guy who has a yellow S3 but nothing to write home about - I don't recall his username.

May have been watching too much S3 and car content on YouTube I think :|

The Supercars of London S3 New Daily is good.

The video talks about the new facelift RS3 which Chris43 is about to take delivery of. Do a YouTube for us Chris43. Maybe walk everyone through the ordering and delivery process too? Status38 and pointless Marine Traffic meant nothing to me a few weeks ago.
