audi rs3 & TTE 625?

Hi,

What engine modifications does a bigger TTE 625 turbo involve on an audi RS3 8V (2016+) to make it reliable, please?

http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/new-record-power-hybrid.308237/ may answer my question but I am not sure if the 8v model needs all these modifications or if the stock engine has better specifications than its 8P sibling.

Afaik if you go over 500ft torque then you are skating on thin ice with the gearbox. Engine internals perhaps ok at 600 ish hp given the engine seems very strong. Perhaps budget for it breaking though at that sort of power.

hmmm.. sounds like the TTE 625 is a too risky bet.

A TTE 500 should be better with a clutch upgrade. A brand new intercooler + remap (ecu + tcu) as well should do it if I don't go over 500-530hp.

Can owners/tuners talk about the reliability of this setup for someone who won't track the car, drive fast but not too fast (too often), respectful for the engine, and rigorous with the maintenance?

The DQ500 box is good for over 550lbs on stock clutches,and seems pretty capable.

My car is an S3 running 550bhp and 550lbs throught that with no issues.

Reliability again should not be a problem assuming regular oil changes and using a top quality synthetic such as Miller Nanodrive or Motul 300V.

Re the gearbox and clutches,talk first to Andy at Storm Developments,who has a 750bhp TTRS on stock clutch packs.....

Did you mean me?

If so,it's only done a few months so far,but the engine and ECU had done 2yrs before the last round of mods.
