What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

They are just setting up the tracking.....but I keep tweaking the coilovers as I want them near as damn it for ride height when loaded and unloaded

Rob I've never seen so many people under the car at one time. It seemed to take forever and a day to get it done and with all the people looking at it I was getting slightly paranoid.

Only turns out that they were impressed with my suspension and brake setup

Well if you have got it, flaunt it....lol,

Also forgot I had my new tyres finally fitted......Mrs is so much happier as they're not in the house now.

They sit nicely on the rim compared to the old tyres as they actually sit proud a little and don't look stretched anymore.

I just need to clean all the mounting soap off them now.

i was just about to say , those tyres look new carl.....not seen that block tread pattern on the edges before carl...what tyres are they.

Just getting the wheels aligned @kwikfit if they can fit the hunter gear on it due to it being lowered they said

And yes I know Kwikfit but they are the only ones in my area with Hunter and for £99 I can get them checked and adjusted every three months up to a total of eight times over twentyfour months.

Looks like I'll be tweaking the coilovers every two and a half months then

Sounds a decent deal! Is that a nationwide thing or a "special" deal? :)

Nationwide Phil.....I never knew about it at first but they charge £64 plus X amounts od £'s per adjustment.

I was then told for £99.95 I could have a 2 year wheel alignment package that means I can go every 3 months and have it re-checked and adjusted up to 8 times in total in the 3 year period.

I kind of recall it's something like £15 per adjustment but they won't charge more than £120. So it was a Win Win @ £100 as they had to set all 4 wheels up.

And yes it's Nationwide!

i was looking at these before i shelled out for the rainsports, let me know what you think of em in a month or so buddy

I will Tony.

I only got these after looking at loads of tyre reviews and I also recalled Dimi had a set on his and he's also done a track day on them.

Cheers Carl - I'll give the Scarborough branch a call as all I knew about was the standard deal too. Thanks!

I have kicked the tyres and called it a tw*t!!!!!!

Dropped it off at AKS Tuning for a week of much needed remedial work.

I think I'm getting B7 withdrawal already.

They definitely seem to know their onions, it's nice they're local.

Expensive mistake no.29 is getting (deep breath):
- All 8 Front Control Arms
- Front Drop Links
- Revised Oil Pick Up Pipe
- Oil Pump and Balancer Shaft Drive checked
- Oil and Filter
- Cam Chain and Tensioner
- 4 Wheel Alignment
- Inlet and Valve Cleaning
- Injectors Tested & Cleaned
- Vacuum Leak Fixed
- Oil Leak Fixed
- Get the CEL to stay off

Well I had to go back to KF as the steering wheel was slightly off centre which I have to say annoyed the feck out of me.

They did try to fob me off with its because it's lowered.......utter crock of sh*t as it's miles out now the steering wheel is straight.

Give them a bit of grief carl, no excuse for shoddy workmanship, I would.

Christ. That's best part of £2k surely?

That's £2k and a bit more. Not that AKS are expensive, they beat my usual garage by a mile, it's just a lot of work.

It's a good job I like this car, because at this rate I'll be keeping it for a very long time. :D

All sorted now......

Time to complain to Head Office as that's an hour I would rather have been doing something else.

Cheers Rob, it's definitely grown on me way more than I was expecting. Once it's 100% I can finally start tuning it!

Difficult to tell :) I've been driving around on two broken rear springs for over a month so anything is an improvement !

spent a few hours refurbing the pair of 19" alloys I picked last week as a spare and backup, sanded , prepared and wet paint with a decent laquer and they look almost useable now, well fine as a spare etc, also postman pad delivered me 4 nice new oem hub caps ( not some of the tacky copies around) did a deal for them £20 the lot...so all in a good day today.
