Ok so my aim is to get suspension that give a nice comfortable ride whist im also able to lower it a little to get a better appearance of the wheels/arches

so my inital thought was going for BILSTEIN B16 PSS9 Coilover 48-169301.

however im wondering if theres any other suitable ones ou there and likely cheaper option. OR would you say the one i have mentioned is the one to go for?

again the car is the a4 b7 2.0 tfsi se sline 2wd

I've been on fk pro street pushing 2 years and can't say anything bad about them..
My son was born after I had them on and he would sleep in the car.
I'm running 19s and since then I've raised it a bit.
The ride is very good for a lowered car.
In fact she's even going down again because they're comfortable enough to get you really low..

The Bilstein B16 kit is a great option and pretty much the ultimate in handling but comfortable it is not.

Did you have a drop in mind?

OH! i thought it was the ultimate in comfort and driver experience.

ok so what would then, im looking to get it so its a nice close hug to the wheels but good enough distance to not rub.

whilst allowing me to have a comfortable ride and not feel im hitting rocks when im only going over tiny stones

Amazing kit but very handling orientated so fairly firm for everyday road use.

Ok well to get that kit of stance you'd need to go coilovers, for comfort I'd say ST X, KW V1 or Eibach Pro Street S depending on what you're wanting to spend.

I bought a set of AP fully adjustable coilovers off @DPM above and I'm still delighted with mine!

Mine are quite low and still very comfortable. I'm running 18" CH's with 10mm spacers on the front and 20mm spacers on the rear and it gives the car a lovely stance without rubbing. Another set to consider and they are at a very reasonable price!

Ok so been on google and it seems adjustable dampners and springs are the way to go to have the comfort ride and have it lowered a bit.... so question now is, what set is the ideal to go for.

price to spend, well the above was around £1389, but if i can get something for half tat id be happy

Koni adjustable height and dampening coilovers can be found for under £1000.

Stainless tubes so will last

soo after some thinking (we have the audi and a toyota carina) it would cost MORE to repair the toyota due to the hot weather its ac would need fixing, than it would to fix the audi.

so were going to keep the audi.

so im still up for ideas on the suspension. im not looking at the over a grand mark.

it needs to give great comfort and stability, enabled to lower a bit.

I've used prosport in the past and really have nothing good to say about them.
On fk pro Street and love them.
They go as low and you can go and they are very comfortable.
I always give the example of my 3 month old son sleeping after getting in the car. So the ride can't be bad if a baby sleeps in it. And running 19s with low profile tyres.
I felt the difference once I went from 18 to 19.but the drop in my car wasn't bad. Not only it looks good it rides very smoothly.
I do recommend fk coilovers. Have them for almost 2 years and can't fault them.

Ok. Mate.. Let's go over this again.. Had a bit to drink and friends were tapping my phone..

I got a deal for my coilovers on Amazon.
But ebay should have them for sale too..
They are fk for sure. But there's different ones.. The yellow are the pro street. They are more for everyday use.. And there's blue ones more track oriented.

Sorry about the confusion earlier.

could you link me to the ones you have mentioned on your site please.

why not try raceland coilovers, come with 2 year warranty , good reviews aswell and not too expensive either by cutting out the middle man as they sell them direct from raceland not retailers.
