Clip in glovebox

Hi gang. Great forum!

Just got a lovely S3 with all the right extras. I'm sure this is an easy question for you guys and gals. What's the black clip in the glovebox for? Pic (found by google) attached.

I put a pen in it with a notepad under the clip :grinning:
 
Pen holder and business card/receipt holder

I've put my Audi roadside assist card under the clip. Pen in that slot as described above.

Not with a 35 mph speed limit! We're off to France for 2 weeks in July so she'll get put through her paces then.
