What have you done to your 8V today?

First wash today!

Had the car for 6 weeks and a Gyeon MOHs+ ceramic coating was applied after 2 weeks. I stuck with the brand and gave it a clean today, here are the steps I took:

1. Pressure wash all over
2. Foam using Gyeon Foam
3. Wait 5 mins, pressure wash again
4. Clean with Gyeon Bathe+ using 2 bucket method with Gyeon Q2M Smoothie
5. Clean wheels using EZ Detail Brush
5. Pressure wash
6. Dry using Gyeon Q2M Silkdryer

Super happy with the process and results, took about an hour. Not perfect though. Next time I'll clean the wheels first - a lot of brake dust makes a lot of mess when wet and using a brush!

Ordered Gyeon ceramic coating for the car today. To be applied on Tuesday. Hopefully it will help keep my car looking good.

My S3 had a Gyeon Q2 MOHs+ coating a few weeks ago, it's amazing! The enhanced gloss and water beading make me smile every time I look at it. You've made a good choice!

Some cleaning regime as you but I start with Bilt Hamber auto wheel cleaner (apply on dry wheels leave for 2 mins then jetwash off) and finish with Nanolex Final Finish quick detailer removes any water marks and leaves the paintwork gleaming.

Having seen a few pics of your car Rob on here I'm very hopeful that it will come up well. Having gone with a black car I want to keep it looking as good as I can. I'll also look out the other products you and Russell mentioned too.

Hope this helps, do not use my method if you have the chance! Get the pins and push them through! Job done!

Then speak to @DJAlix to activate it all up!

Fitted my front splitter this morning. I'm not a fan of them sticking out that far I just like the depth they add to the front so I put it back as much as possible. Used a rivet gun and after two rivets the thing broke so had to take the gun apart apart and back together again but sorted it.

Got a puncture Sunday....limped to garage....air went in and straight out. Couldn't change to the space saver cos my Audi wrench wouldn't fit in the Vorsteiner bolt holes (!!). Left it overnight at 24 hour garage in the Bronx! (very scared). Limped again 1k to nearest tyre place. Took tyre off....was ruined...couldn't get replacement ContiSport Contact 5P....had to buy Good Year Eagle F1 for time being....now shopping online for Conti's to ship to Panama cos no-one has any here! Screw in tyre is costing me damn near $700!!

thats the reiger mate, same as yours.
Aha nice one!

Wasn't sure as the saloon one goes "up" in the middle section so it's not all at one level.

Did a good job too especially if it was all with one pair of hands!

Ahh feel bad for pointing it out now lol.

To be honest I was querying which it was, as in I didn't recognise it as being Rieger since the saloon one (that I have) has a slight different shape... I then (only just now) remembered you also have a saloon!

Sorry to say but something isn't quite right there with the one you've received then it seems

See below pic of mine. See the shape I'm referring to where it is raised for the length of the silver section in the middle?

Even visible on the images on the Rieger site for the "sedan"/convertible

EDIT: Couldn't see anything wrong with a quick glance... but see on yours (because it is for the narrower hatch/sportback) the 'point' on the bumper doesn't match up with the 'point' on the splitter?

no they were sodding me about, it was a place (will need to dig out my paperwork) official retailer for rieger aswell lol. im not sure what i like best between the two to be honest, i dont like splitters that sit to far out from the bumper. been looking at the two pics does yours allow the under tray to be removed? one thing i noticed was that it sits quite deep under there.

Yeah I like the look of mine... But if I were you simply from a hassle point of view I would maybe just push for a reasonable partial redund? Then again the two bits that don't line up could get annoying lol, especially as it isn't a small amount of money!

Mine will definitely allow the main undertray to be removed as that is further back... And it should allow the small front section to be removed too but I haven't tried.

I did the same about a month into my new rims. I was so ****** at myself for not paying attention. Then let a family member borrow the car and they scraped them even more. I gave up and just accepted it.

But I did put in my new wireless phone charger using a proclips mount. Screwed the wireless base directly to it. Should of done this sooner!

Replaced the PCV breather pipe bit fiddly but easy enough looks to have cured the oil leak at the turbo inlet so worth doing.

Full wash polish and wax. Also shampooed the seats, carpet and matts. Looks like new again

Took car to local hand wash, who now use proper wash mitts! Do a damn good job for £4.50. And for those who know me, I'm OCD when it comes to car cleaning and wouldn't let just anyone touch my car. But needs must! I did give it a spray and wipe of CarPlan No1 Gloss!!
