its a real shame audi don't fit this decent kit on there cars from the factory, they charge enough for the cars and parts as it is, at least they could fit them to start with.

True....but then we wouldn't be special haha.

How you attached them mate?

At the moment they've got a self tapper through the exhaust but they'll be welded during the week at work. Believe me these are not coming off, I had to cover them with a rag and knock them on with a nylon mallet. It's a good job they were in the correct position too because they won't budge.

I was initially a bit concerned about the 58mm inlet as I measured the standard exhaust at 55mm but let me tell you, you'd never get a 55mm inlet to fit without completely removing the back boxes and swearing.....a lot!

with the tfsi the back box outlet pipe work is a slightly smaller diameter pipe to the oil burners, you may need reducers , I used reduces with my tips and I welded mine on but clamp on with decent clamps is acceptable...

I rekon we should all get discount now after all the sales he's had from us B7 chaps....

Ok cheers, hopefully being a smaller diameter might make it easier, I'll probably end up clamping these for now then and see how it goes.

They've got a sale on at the moment directly on their website so ended up paying a little less than the ebay price :)

And they're on, spent some time adjusting the hangers to get them equal.
Oh, and in the end I went totally against what I said previously and got the 101mm tips.
Don't think they look out of place.

They look great....how did you adjust the hangers though?? Did you get them from exhausttuningparts?

Yep got them from exhausttuningparts on eBay.
I loosened of the not holding the two sections apart under where they branch off, and removed the rear and centre hanger. I then measured up roughly how much lowerer i wanted the pipes to sit and made up some spacers from ally tube and used longer bolts to fix the hangers back in place.
The centre hanger came down about 20mm and the rears about 45mm.
It would have fitted without any messing, but my ocd would have done me in....

Everyone getting their shiny new tips - I kinda feel left out!
Question: Is there any difference to the sound of the exhaust with these new tips?

Question: Is there any difference to the sound of the exhaust with these new tips?

simple answer , yes, many say no but mine has sounded much better since they have been on, any sound will change when the gas is forced out a larger dia outlet compare to a small dia outlet, proven science ..

Yes mate your turn!

..But no, no noise benefit whatsoever.

*Edit*

From Rob's comment, I dont see how the very TIP of an exhaust will make any noticeable difference.

yeh if its only a tip that go's over the existing exhaust it wont change the sound
