Can't seem to find anyone who can supply RS6 c7 rear pads anywhere. Fronts no problem.

The problem is, they are not listed in the ECB Parts Catalogue for RS6.

But, if you look for RS7 C7 you will find. RS6 and RS7 C7 brakes are the same. :racer:

Why yellow stuff and not red?

If you look at the Audi parts catalogue, the 2013 RS6 and the 2014 RS7 brakes are the same OEM part numbers, including pads.

RS6
RS7

Not sure why EBC would list them as different, although l notice that they have the RS6 engine power incorrectly listed on the dropdown menus (it's listed as 553bhp across all years post 2013) May be better to call them if unsure.

Missed you question why yellow and not red ? I can't find any listed anywhere ?

Phoned EBC and Bilstein today neither answering their ****** phones. Poor show especially as i called them all the way from Mexico.
I cannot find RS6 or RS7 redstuff pads anywhere.

Ha ha ,
It was 37 deg here yesterday daytime and raining and thunder and lighting at night time.
2 days left and i go to the states for a day and then back home to raining Uk. Cant wait had enough now.
Was also phoning the air bag guys for my RS6 steering wheel airbag that I've already paid for and they sent me the wrong one and they weren't answering either ! I was like F F S ! What the hell is going on !! LOL !
But... It's not Mexico and it's ******* down .

Had this for a few days !!

I have them but it wont allow me to post them up ! I tried earlier in the week. Says it is the wrong extension ! Pain in the r s
Doing 40 -50 mph on motorway and boot it down the rear end starts snaking and thats with the traction control on ! Doesn't inspire confidence at all but does bring a nervous cheer and laugh between you and your passenger !! Its a stupid car.
I had another one of these for 6 weeks 3 years ago on a job in Dallas. That time was a white convertible. Petrol paid for all miles. He he he.

On the Red Stuff versus Yellow pads....

The red stuff have a ceramic content and almost zero brake dust and no squeal (A problem I had on my S7 from new) Ive had red stuff fitted now for 3 months and had zero problems so far :racer:

The yellow pads are not low dust...

So I spoke to EBC and they do not supply red stuff pads for the RS6 or 7. They only supply yellow stuff pads for the front. Mmm that's kinda surprising and rubbish at the same time. I think I'll stick with the Audi OEM pads.

When l purchased Redstuff for my S7, they refused to supply front pads, but rears were ok. I couldn't find a UK supplier, one set on eBay, seller wanted silly money (£400+!)

I ended up buying from USA ($150) shipping to friend, then put into my luggage to bring home.

Box had "Made in UK" plastered all over it.:wtf:

Good product. Numpty Customer Service

I'm
Baffled why after 4 years after the RS6 release they don't have any red stuff pads for them. Doesn't make sense.

Really not sure, other than the RS6/7 is in such small production numbers it's not economical to set up manufacturing for them...

The RS6 (C7/7.5) was never released into the USA market, although the RS7 was. I can see Redstuff fronts for the RS7 on the site l mentioned above, but not rears.....

Rear YellowStuff

Front YellowStuff

Both for RS7, but should fit...

Also, if you search by part number in the EBC online shop, you will also find them listed (again these are RS7, but RS7 and RS6 2015 models have the same OEM pads.....)

DP42082R
DP42158R

Im assuming you are fitting RS6/7 discs as well, as the RS6 callipers wont fit your original A6 discs....

Hope this helps :racer:

Dallas audi $575 for rs7 front pads ! ****** expensive @ £447 !

Seems pad options other than OEM are limited.
I have new audi OEM pads for rear already ( was going to return them if I found red stuff) and also a set of front pads that came with my RS calipers that have seen better days. I think I'm going to end up opting for standard ATE front pads from Euro fart pants @£200 . I'm never going to race this thing professionally so red stuff or yellow stuff would be great but not necessary.

Yes discs are 390 mm wavey at front and wavey ones at rear.
Re painted should arrive tommorow

Yellowstuff are a more track oriented pad and as such more likely to perform. They do produce loads of dust compared to OE pads.
I have come across the issue with EBC only supplying Yellowstuff pads not supplying redstuff pads in this country. When they are available elsewhere in the world.
They do it for the four pot Brembos on the Audi Q5. Fortunately this uses the same pad profile as the Subaru Imprezza and EVO so the redstuff pads from those fit fine. You just don't get a pad wear sensor.
Doing a bit of Googling on the OE part number
The same pads are also used on the AMG ML63 and GL63 cars. Which have a Redstuff pad listed for them.

Do you mean the merc pads fit the RS6 ?

Do you

If you compare the pad profile of an OE pad with the Merc pad they are the same. And looking at some other manufacturers pads they show the same pad being used on the RS6 as the Mercs.
This link shows the 2017 RS7 as using the same pads as the Merc.

They are a very similar caliper supplied by Brembo.
You need to compare the pad profile from the existing pad with that of the replacement.

Euro car parts offering big discounts today so they got my money. Pagid are there same as the Audi brembo offerings and i can live with ATE as well.

Even with ECP big discounts CP4L is cheaper. Although you can't have it on the same day, You have to wait till it gets delivered to you.
With no discount at all CP4L is nearly cheaper than the exact same parts from ECP.
The Pagid parts that ECP/ CP4L sell are not always the same spec/ quality as the OE Parts. I have bought Pagid discs and they were OK but the OE ones had pillar vents and the CPFL item straight normal vents.

Fantastic ! What a saving. Thanks. I will cancel the euro fart pants order. Every pounds a prisoner - I'm Scottish you see ! :) This supplier will be my go to from now on.

I notice your going for two different makes, front and rear. I thought you were always better to go with the same make, front and rear to ensure the brakes were balanced?

I'm Scottish as well btw :racer:

Hi RAF,

I don't think it will matter. Ideally yes should be matching set but there such a big offset in terms of stopping force between front and back any manufacturing performance differences would likely be undetectable.

Good question though :)
