yourAudi - Track New Car Order

Long wait?

I ordered my car in February - its build date is June 12th.

It looks like you have 3 weeks to wait before it starts being built and in fact it may start being built sooner as the status updates around 3 weeks before in most cases. Although no idea how the change to 2018 models at the start of next week will effect that.

I ordered mine two weeks ago - dealership used a stock car they ordered in February but hadn't been built yet as my order, just changed the spec to my spec, so it cut my wait time down a few months :) still feels like a long time though,,

Thae tracker is down for maintenance! What am I going to do ?lmao

Long wait?

My Golf GTD took a few days short of 6 months!
If everything goes to plan I should get my A3 in July. Ordered mid April and scheduled for build next week.

I used online chat.

They said I now have a confirmed build week of 12th June (week 20) - so just over 2 weeks.

I am very pleased to know that it wont move around anymore (assuming his information is correct). I am hopeful the build will start sooner but at least in a little over 2 weeks it will be - and I know the next 2 weeks will go fast as I am very busy!

you should be in quality control by the 12th of June, going by what happened with mine and a lot of other peoples orders :yum:

Dealer phoned today still at status 10 Since Feb estimated bw 34 not moving at all

Can someone help me out here, my car is at the dealers, however i'm being told that it's a 2 day buying experience!! Finance docs on day one, then drive out day 2 & this can't be a sunday as VWFS are closed! The alternative is sending the finance docs to me, signing them then sending them back and then waiting 14 days!? Is it just me or does the actual purchase of the car ruin the experience of buying a new car?!

Seems strange to me I completed my finance documents at the point of collection after seeing my car, although my deposit had to be received beforehand. Was in and out within an hour and all paperwork completed.

Thanks for confirming that, it does seem strange I am a distance away from the dealers but have offered to go in over a weekend and stay up near the dealers over night! Wish I had bought my car locally now!

Did mine by email. Printed off , signed , scanned and emailed back in about 15 mins

No waiting 14 days then? I assume you had a distance to travel?
Yes . Can't see the problem tho. Its VWFS , only told me that my deposit had to be paid by faster payment before 2pm on th day of collection. Ask them if they can email you th docs today . Sure I've read someone else on here had them emailed too

I'm due to collect next Saturday (even this was something "they don't usually allow") I was asked several times if I could collect during the working week (no as I'm a contractor - so don't work = don't get paid ....) Waiting for the call to say can I pop down to do paperwork ahead of the day ....

As somebody had said previously on here - when told "sorry you can't collect your car on that day - we've a VIP event on ..." Their reply was well then I'll come down and tell all the VIP's what a cr@p service to expect - quick backtrack from sales and he got the car when he wanted.

It does beggar belief that what is more than likely the 2nd largest purchase all of us make - and they want us to fit in/around them !!

Could the problem stem from finance being cheap (possible next sub-prime bubble to burst) They don't really have to do anything up and above the bare minimum to sell cars.

I know the local Audi garage in March sold/took orders for approx 325 cars -

You're not doing the whole 'running in' thing then :D Haha - glad you're enjoying it :)

Got mine on Monday.... preceded to do circa 100 miles every day since

Just spent an hour on the motorway and travelling through traffic in "economy" to see what I could do. I got 38mpg! Not too bad

Especially as I'd had it at 12 in dynamic "running her in"

Thanks, thats useful.

Ive just spent a few minutes scanning through the data and right at the bottom, ive just found this...

,"buildWeek":"201733","firstDayOfBuildWeek":"2017-08-14T00:00:00+0100","

If thats right looks like my build has been pushed back 11 weeks. Be interested to see what Bolton Audi have to say as they gave me a build week of next week !

To be honest my build week moved 3 times between audi hull giving me it and it actually happening.

What you'll also find is your car will build the week before your build week. An should be in QC by the first day of your actual week.

They shuffle orders round a lot it would seem.

First of all if your lucky enough to get a build week so quickly that's a minor miracle. I've seen a few people in this thread that have had a build week around 4 weeks after ordering which considering they process starts a couple of weeks before the build date has been a quick process.

My car was ordered on 18th Feb - it was an amended order which was originally placed in November of last year. And finally it's started it's journey in the last couple of days. It's pretty much 4 months from ordering it to the build being complete... and then who knows how long it will take to arrive at the dealer...

My build date moved a lot. It was originally June 18th; then moved to May 29th; then May 8th (which I was super excited about); then back to May 28th before settling on June 12th about a week ago which was confirmed the other day. Obviously if it had been built by May 8th I may have had the car now! So don't be discourage by the constant changes. About a week and a half ago I was annoyed and frustrated but it has finally started!

I ordered 3rd week April so just getting a build week from the tracker falls in with the 4 week pattern you describe.

I have to admit I was slightly sceptical about the build date given by Audi Bolton, mainly because my order was changed to the new 1.5TSi thats replaces the 1.4 so there's bound to be a back log but also because it was so quick after I had ordered.

I waited almost 5 months for my Golf GTD so I've been here before!

Had the phone call Saturday asking if I could pop down Sunday to sign finance papers - as it was already had plans for the Sunday/Bank Holiday Monday so asked them to email them to me - will sign/scan and email back.

Change of plan meant tI could pop down yesterday - to be told sorry not doable as needs finance team/admin to get ready.

So back to email/sign/scan ....

Will the tracker ever be online again. Been loads longer than a couple of days.

There is another way to access the tracker:

1) Login into my audi via www.audi.co.uk.
2) Rather than clicking tracking my order that gives you the message the site is down for maintenance copy the following link into the address bar of your browser. Add your 8 digit number in place of <yourordernumberhere>

https://www.audi.co.uk/myaudi-public-api/services/v1/orders/<yourordeenumberhere>

You get a very long text string. Right at the top is your order status which is likely be "10"
If you scroll to the bottom it should give you your current build week.

This is mine currently ,"buildWeek":"201733","firstDayOfBuildWeek":"2017-08-14T00:00:00+0100","
