Well got the car back... to say its a tool would be an understatement. To think theres another 100 of these gentle ponys yet to come.
The clutch is nowhere near as bad as i was expecting and is very useable. I expected it be like my bathroom light, on or off but its as good as my stage 3 endurance clutch if not smoother... pops and bangs on the over run has been seriously enhanced... so all good so far. More updates as things progress

Evening everyone.
Havent got the S3 back yet but what i have heard is the base map returned 510ps and 630nm on a stock cat back. Just in the process of having the exhaust finished by CM Tuning, then its ready to be taken up a notch. Heres a couple of pics.
Should have it back for the weekend all being well

Thank you, im glad you have enjoyed the read. I try to include as much as possible for others to work from without going overboard.

Thay said, im really missing the car which is good as i know ive bought the right car. So aslong as we dont come across any problems then i guess all should be ok.

This is a one off mate but CM Tuning will make another no problem. We're just gonna get it running without the valves for the moment and add valves or more boxes if required. I dont want it too loud but with 3.5 dp to 3 then split to 2.5 i think its gonna be loud lol.

Well the cars back and im astonished at the results.
Its an absolute animal!
The exhaust is loud but i really like it, CM Tuning want it back to refine it but for the minute im going to use it and see how it goes. Bangs and crackles on the over run are very loud and it doesnt take much for it to happen, even when driving slowly. The plus side is it has the power to back up the sound and the best way to explain the sound would be the BTCC.. maybe a touch louder than the RS4 i had previously.

That said it produced 522ps and 673nm @ 2.1 bar of boost and is fully spooled by 3500rpm which makes ths power very useable in most driving conditions.
Wifes verdict.... stupid fast
Mrc are confident they can get more out of it but im happy with it. Infact more than happy with it, but im gonna let them have it back for a glory run and set the bench mark for the Fl s3.

Anyway i hope you like the vids and pictures, the first TTE525R 2017 S3 in existance that im aware of.

Thanks for following but the build is now complete time to set some 1/4 mile times!

Ok so a full tank down since tuning. Not only is it still driveable daily sensibly, it still returns good mpg. Seems ive shaved off 40 miles from my overall consumption. But when you want power.... by christ do you have it!
So overall a very good investment with smiles per gallon near enough on par with miles per gallon.

Few more weeks bedding the clutch in some more with daily driving, then over to the drag strip to have some legal fun! This group is unfortunately full of party poopers so we will keep power storys to the track. Would be great to meet some of you at some events if anyone fancys it? Im happy to take enthusiasts for a spin so you can feel it for yourself.

Ill keep updating to keep the thread moving but for the minute i would say theres nothing left to do. Perfect car

You'd have to bring a extra few microfibre clothes to mop up my drool...
I think I'd be disappointed with my standard s3 if I experience the "monster", and sure for me, it would lead down a dark and expensive mod road

Im supposed to be at Aitp, but Vw Festival is on the same weekend and although its mainly vw it tends to be the opportunity me and my mates get to have a good blow out locally. Litteraly 5 mins from my house.
I would like to head down to Aitp but i will most likely be at drag events like GTI International @ Rockingham, Vag Tuner Live @ Donington, 10 of the best @ Elvington and a few test runs at York dragway in the coming weeks if anyone fancys meeting up?

Sometimes the unknow is better than the known as it doesnt tempt you to do the same thing. One thing i can say is the stock turbo stage 1 is still a very exciting car to drive. Less brutal and probably more of a daily driver. Really brings the demon out in a really good car. I would highly recommend stage 1 to give you a taste of what the stock S3 is really capable of. 370bhp and 370lbft is still a very tasty quick car. Also i had to change turbos and alsorts in the past for stage 2+ to get anyway near that power. The power of evolution

LoL stage 2 is good or maybe go straight to 3 ?!!!

Craig's car must be mental I've been in a Revo stage 3 development car and was blown away by it you just have to recalibrate your mind a 40k hatch or Saloon shouldn't be capable of doing this !!

Im still coming to terms with it myself mate. Docs deloreon hasnt got **** on the flaming number 11s this thing leaves. Whats crazy and also a fact im struggling to come to terms with is im on my tank where i take it easy and see just what it will do in the other extreme. 65 miles before the fuel gauge moves to the block below, then 32.5 mpg round town. Give it some and your in the 12s but its rare i get the opportunity in traffic so its basically the car that just keeps giving

Hi everyone, just an update.

The S3 is getting the company decals just so its easier for people to see.

Also

It will be featuring in Performance Audi magazine very soon.

It will probably tell you a little more about why we have chosen this route.

Hope you find it an intersting read and feel free to get intouch to replicate the build. Im always happy to help

Hi Craig, spotted the car at GTI on Saturday.

I was down in the pit lane looking at some of the Darkside diesels and spotted you talking to some other people. Was going to come and have a word but when I had finished talking to the Darkside guy you had gone.
Looking at the results posted for the sprint I would say you must have had a few problems.
http://www.theresults.co.uk/motorsport-GTI.html
A 3.96s 0-60 is not where the car should be is it, and 8.16s for the 1/8th is only 0.25s quicker than me in my diesel estate.
Anything major ??

@desertstorm

Was a great day, we were having a few issues but nothing major. Please dont forget the car is a manual car, it still holds the TTE 1/4 mile record for a manual car of 12.04 @ 118mph.

That said i think its capable of alot more and the issue is simple. We turned of the vibration reduction a couple of weeks ago to stop it slamming on the brakes on launch... but for some reason it seems to have enabled its self again so thats why i couldnt get it off the line, 3.96 0-60 with the anchors being launched out the window on launch is quite impressive.

Being the 2017 ECU means everything is new and we are still learning the parameters and limitations that are within the stock spec. Mrc and CM are looking into it with me and we will get to the bottom of it, but being the first stage 3 2017 S3, we didnt expect it to be plug and play. Once its off the line theres no stopping it, but as you know every 10th of a second counts.

Next time come drag me away lol!

Also i was going to post my results from my first weekend at york and my 2nd weekend at gti, explaining what issues we had as soon as i got 5 minutes to update the thread. But seens you got to it first it kind of kills the point of writing it up. Cheers for that.
