Do any of you guys have one of these? I think I'm going to get one but was wondering about set-up. I have a local supplier who does hardwire installs which I would go for but was wasn't sure of the best way to power it. Internet sites have a battery pack and also an adaptor to cut power if battery charge falls too low. Has anybody bothered with either of those or just gone for a straight connection via fuse-box?

Cheers!

I have the BlackVue 650S, with the Power Magic pro to prevent draining the car battery when lm garaged for a long period. If your using the car daily, lm not sure if you need it tbh.

I was Parking up for days (airport) so wanted to have as much recording a poss, but without coming back to a flat battery.

I am adding an external battery pack, but only to power my mifi hotspot, to keel alive cloud recording. :racer:

Power Magic Pro definitely a good plan... Parking mode and cutoff work very well.

Yes I have the 2 channel version powered by Cellink Battery B which is essentially a rechargeable battery. I find it lasts a LOT longer than the PMPro that I had before especially in parking mode when the car is parked up over the weekend and no longer puts strain on the car battery, photo during install wires are now hidden away but you get the idea :-

I think its time for me to invest in a dash cam so thanks for the heads up on this model. Front and rear is a must with the on going Crash 4 Cash instances. And catching the "idiots" that do not give a hoot about damaging a car in car parks and driving off!(even catching the neighbours!).

Just got to search out a good company that will install one for me ?(i know halfords offer a install service but i don't know what they are like doing it ?)

I have one of these in my Golf R.

I need someone to transfer them to my S3 when it's ready. I think that may be a massive pain the neck.

I'm sure the dealer wouldn't touch it and I'm sure the installer won't be free to pop over to the dealer when I collect the car to fit it. So I guess I'll have to have it removed then fit to the new car on another day.
