Yee Haa finally had my uprated clutch fitted. Did 31k miles on the original one so kinda got my money's worth. What's the verdict? Stiffer pedal definitely and lower biting point too. Once you get over that then, wow, what a difference. It's good to be able to use the full 315 horses without worry. Car pulls like a train again, going to pee a lot of people off :laughing:

Glad you got it done at last, so we can drive even slower than normal round to Kempton on Sat.

Normal service then, you need to start saving for the exhaust now.
 
What was the total cost for clutch and fitting? Did you do the flywheel too?

I did the Clutch plate, Cover, flywheel and slave cylinder. My mechanic said it was best to replace everything while the gearbox was out. It was £1260 for the parts and £500 to fit. A lot of money but worth it.

Do you think it is much stiffer pedal will probably have to have ours done at some point but the wife drives it as much as me and don't want her struggling

£1760 for a clutch flywheel and cylinder? Holy **** thats expensive. as feck.

Yeah, the joys of remapping your car. I saw the old clutch plate and to be honest it didn't look that worn. I was expecting it to be really thin or have a ceramic glaze on it from over heating

Yeah I was really surprised how much heavier it is. Stop start in traffic is pretty awful. Someone said to me "It's a man's clutch" lol. Rather have a girly clutch and save my knee.

Clutch seems to have bedded in nicely and you will be pleased to know that the pedal is lighter too. That or my leg muscles in my left leg are now like Arnies

Nah it's a man's clutch now lmao Think it was just everything loosening up a bit. Still firm but not too bad
