Not What I'd Expect From Audi

Wow! I am genuinely gobsmacked!
I understand that apprenticeship is a learning skill opportunity and pranks are being played at them but sometimes these "old bullies" are going too far.
They knew he had some issues and still continued it.

This is ignorance from all staff across whole dealership should be punished!

Rest in peace George.

That is absolutely disgusting, and pretty unbelievable that bullying like that still happens today. Such a terrible waste of a young life, and those involved should at least lose their jobs or be prosecuted.

Still cannot get over it.
Not after all this what's happening around right now.

To protect these animals, particular dealership wasn't named or I missed it. Audi HQ should bite the bullet and do something about it, to compensate it to George's family. Nothing will bring him back to live but at least show some respect.

Our thoughts with he's family.

Poor management - the dealership manager Kinderleit (presumably some wide boy salesman at Reading Audi) should be given the boot. Appears to still be in his job?

Just seen this on twitter

Audi UK Statement
At Audi UK we remain deeply saddened by George Cheese’s tragic death and we would like to express our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to George’s family.

George was a young apprentice technician working for the Sytner Group at its Audi dealership in Reading. He very sadly took his own life in 2015. His untimely death has been the subject of an inquest which is being heard this week.

Audi UK will, in collaboration with the Sytner Group, review the full written findings of the inquest as soon as they become available.

Absolutely appalling behaviour
The management of Reading Audi want sacking over this
I'm surprised no charges have been brought by the CPS against the vermin who did this
I can only hope the Coroner refers the case to the Police for charges to be brought

Manager confirms he witnessed young apprentice being locked in cage and burned! What else has he witnessed at Audi Reading? Makes one speculate what other "horseplay" has gone unpunished e.g. Technicians urinating in petrol tanks, lying about servicing, removing parts from customers cars and health and safety abuses generally. Sounds like some dysfunctional circus in the department under Kinderleit's control.

I agree with all comments. I shall also take my business elsewhere, but there wasn't much chance of my going to Reading Audi anyway.

He (the dealership manager Kinderleit) said that they never took it too far, what would he consider too far. Being burnt or locked in a cage qualifies as too far for me. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. He should have been booted out post haste along with the techs involved.

Absolutely disgusting, glad it's not my local dealership.

It is very tragic indeed, worse by staff saying that they do this all the time. Unfortunately not an isolated incident and 'office banter' gone way too far.

Shocked and disgusted that this sort of behaviour was allowed to continue to the point that a young apprentice takes his own life, beyond abhorrent ! The fact that no action was taken despite the dealership manager being aware of the bullying and abuse that was being dolled out shows a blatant disregard of the responsibilities that his role requires and a total lack of humanity on his part.

My sincere condolences to George's family and friends.....
