Aye it's expensive as it is mate matrix candles added would push it over £47k *** for a S3 must need ma heed looked at lol

Well, just think how easy it would be to see your head with Matrix LED's :grinning:

Not sure if I am winning, but my deal comes with £6,055 discount on a S3 Hatchback (including the £1,900 finance contribution).

Works out at 16.9% discount on the ROTR price of the car.

That's negative equity mate totally different?

Not sure I understand. I think DrEskimo or the local garage would just pay off his existing finance when it sells and he'd set up a new finance deal afterwards with Audi.

Your always going to get a larger discount on a 3 door S3 over any other variant apart from the convertible and 16-9% discount l have never heard of anyone else getting such a large discount mate

Yea I need to clarify how it works with paying off the remaining finance.

I told the bloke on the offset that it was on finance, and he didn't say anything. So I suspect it's as you say, when the car is sold, the money is used to clear the finance by the garage or by myself, fee to the garage and then I keep what ever is left.

Yea good point.

So the discount, which I got the impression would of been applied on any S3 across the range, was £4155, or 11.6%. It's the finance contribution of £1900 that makes it impressive.

With the saloon at £600 contribution, it would have been less impressive I suspect...! But then the saloons are towards £40k, so 11% discount would have been £4640, + £600 = £5240, which is similar to what you got?

Nice!

But that still seems high over 48months..? My S5 was £380 with £6k down over 24m. Appreciate it was the outgoing model though.

Hang about, what happened with the RS3??

The RS3 eh.....really can't be ***** and to be totally honest it doesn't suit my working commute as sometimes l need to leave my car unattended in car parks for the duration of the shift, l try my utmost to avoid this but it's not possible sometimes,it's bad enough with the S3 l need to change jobs for peace of mind lol

So far the RS3 Saloon is my next choice. The S3 is almost perfect for me but it really doesn't feel like a 310BHP car, and that's coming from 4 years with a 125BHP 1.4 A3. You really have to put it in S mode to feel it. As long as I can get similar monthlies on an RS3 Saloon, the ride isn't too firm and the boot space being similar or bigger, it'll be the car for me.

How / why would you get similar monthlies on the RS3? If that were the case wouldn't everyone be in a RS3?!

If you are dealing with Jordan, this is what he told me:

The Quattro Protection Pack works out to £1745. It covers you against paintwork damage, tyre & key cover, Autoglym paintwork protection and GAP protection.

Give me a shout when your collecting mate if you like? I'm not far from Whetstone.

In fact I'm a bit annoyed, as he Guy who sold me my S5 moved to Whetstone and I enjoyed buying off him. Text him and said he would try and get me a good deal as an old customer of his and couldn't get anywhere near my renewal deal!

By the sounds of it, you've got a similar deal to me....!

Not bad then, should be £2-3k extra deposit then to get the same monthly figure depending on the term.

£50,000 RS3 Sportback you'll need around a @£12k deposit to keep it just below £500@month, biggest problem being no discount

Seeing as Audi are giving you £1,900 deposit contribution towards the 3 door S3, do you technically have to put anything further down?

Reason I'm asking, I was only going to put in 1,500 - 2,000 usual deposit, but what's the point if they are already giving you the 1,900? As surely this would save my putting more money in to it unless I wanted to greatly reduce my payments. Thinking still be cheap given the discount on top of this. Thanks.

I am 100% sure there's a minimum deposit on all new car purchases

Ideal, happy to throw down 500/1000 or something. It's the payment figure of 475/500 looking at paying over a 3 year term. Sent an email and will see what comes back! Thanks

Could pay more, but annoys me having put down 2,000 for the Golf R and I'm still 2k in negative equity after 27 months in to a 36 month Pcp! Need to get a quote or two back and see if it's possible.

I was a renewal, but I wasn't asked to put any down. The deal is based on me p/x my S5 and having no equity either way (just settling the remaining finance) but I'm going to sell it though a sale or return, hopefully get £2k more and then stick that in to reduce the interest I pay.

Remember, don't get stuck on on the negative equity and deposit stuff...amount you put down is neither here nor there (I make the argument that more is better since you pay less interest). All that matters is the discount you get on the car you're buying, and the price you are getting on selling or p/x your car. Try different dealers and get different trade ins. Mine ranged from £26k - £29.5k...hopefully will get around £32k from a sale or return.

Yup. Trying to organise viewings and keeping it clean and all that would be a massive hassle if you kept hold of it.

Speaking of cleaning, spent one of my days off this week actually doing something I enjoy, detailing the Sepang beauty...going to miss this colour :(
