Guys,

Got our first newborn on the way, wanted to know if anyone managed to fit there baby seat in the rear middle seat? I need to be able to carry two adults at the back and was wondering if anyone has found an adaptor that will let you use the ISOfix's from either rear side seats?

Firstly congratulations.

I don't think it will be physically possible make the second adult sit in the middle. ISO fix brackets and load paths back into the structure are not designed for that usage scenario.

Practicality wise lifting the child in and out your back will thank you for placing the seat kurb side.

Thanks Rob! :)

That is a shame, I am sure i saw a picture with someone who had an S5 install the baby seat Base adaptor in the middle rear seat. What i was thinking was if i can put the seat in the middle i could have two adults sit either side.

Maybe its time to upgrade from the s3....

I found the Maxi Cosi pebble and pearl seats to be great on their own isofix adaptor base but now he's bigger have a Recaro Monza Nova 2 which has isofix built in.

Sounds like it may be possible on the A/S5 as being a larger car.

I think it's a very practical and reasonable reason to upgrade to an S5

I didn't think you were meant to put a kid seat in the middle but following a quick google search i now know its the safest place to put it. Every day is a school day :)

Si :)
