Hi Guys.

Im thinking about buying a aftermarket satnav for my a3 sportback 09 plate.
Im looking for an unit that will enable me to connect my phone (android) to stream music and to work as a hands free kit. Im a bit afraid of some dodgy chinese brands so cant really decide :/

Any suggestions?
Many thanks

I know you're wanting to avoid "Chinese" brands, but as far as I know, "Erisin" is a popular one, I'm not sure how popular with Audi owners but in general its a known brand

Pioneer may do one but I don't know what model, if you type Pioneer in search you should find a thread or two quite easily. I assume you have a double din unit as standard?

Hi mate, thanks for the reply ;)
Its not that I want to avoid all chinese brands, I know that we can find good and reliable stuff from there but SOME brands can bring more problems than joy... My problem is that Im really far from knowing which brands are good or bad. I have been checking some pioneers meanwhile, found some nice ones but they cost around £600 and Im trying to stay around 400£..

Cheers once again :)

no worries, on ebay there are some that look VERY similar to audi's RNSE units, for around £250, they're android quad core, possibly android 6 version

You can get a UK supplied Android Head Unit from Xtrons for under £300 and get all the features most people need, plus a choice of nav apps to use. Comes with everything you need to install and quality is decent for the money.
Alternative is to get an Android Auto or Apple Play head unit, which will be slightly more expensive and less flexibility, but from a known brand.
