I had the rear badge removed by the dealer when I got the car and I changed the mirrors to black.
It was still pretty obviously an S3 and the mirrors have worked there way back on!
I'm now considering refitting the badge and need to know where to place it.
Would one of you kind people with an S3, sportback if it matters, measure where to put it.
I would be eternally grateful as I'm a little ocd when it comes to getting things just so:help:

I could possibly knock up a template for you based on where mine is, leave it with me.

slightly opposite request, I've already removed the rear badge (sorry @-Ju- , I didn't note where it was on the panel) and was wondering how you get the S3 badge off of the grille on the front of a facelift car?

I had a grope around the back of the badge, it feels like it clips in and you could possibly squeeze the lugs in!
Mines a pre facelift btw so may be different

I'm PFL Grant but have looked to do the same but found that it'll leave a blank plinth behind that is half the depth of the grille vanes so if I filed it away I'd have an odd looking notch in the grille so didn't bother. Guessing that the FL will be similar.

Righto, might just buy one of the other badges then. Something like "e-tron" or 'blue-motion" should do the trick...

@Tom.H just wondered if it's possible to upload the template scale 1:1 here in case anyone else comes across this thread ?

Ermm should be, on this post or is there somewhere else I could upload it?

I have a full size jpeg.

Not sure how to mate to be honest maybe save as a tif/jpeg and upload as a normal photo - maybe add a dimension so that it can be correctly scaled when printing ?

Will give it a bash tomorrow when I'm at home and on the laptop.

All the pictures seemed to have died now, if someone could PM me the details that would be great please!

Not sure why anyone would want to remove badges anyway.

Anyone in the know would know it was an S3 anyway, and everyone else frankly don’t give a t@ss.

Put it back on and be proud of the car you drive.

I had mine removed before I picked up the car, 2 days later while in the petrol station someone pulled up alongside and asked me why I de-badged it. It was at that point I realised it was pointless!

Exactly^^

I personally have much more important things to worry about than taking badges off my car.

Loads of punters would love to own an S3, you’ve got one so embrace that sh!t.

My car was de-badged when I bought it. Anyone still have access to this template? I have a PFL saloon so I'm assuming it would still be okay with this template.

Not sure if the boot is the same shape at the point where the badge goes?

I actually do yes!

See if you can print them from these, if not I'll send you them
