Hi all,
I'm not sure if this is all just in my head but after i hit a pot hole on a roundabout (can't of been doing more then 15mph) my car seems to feel slightly different, in that the ride feels a bit more bouncy as if there is some lateral movement at certain speeds?
It also seems to very slightly pull left which would imply tracking is out but again i'm really not sure if this is just the camber of the road and just i'm imagining things.

Sounds daft by my keyring (hanging off the ignition key) seems to swing slightly when on a straight road, again not sure if it's always been like this and there is no vibration in the steering of signs of a damaged wheel. I think i'll book it in but before i get laughed out of my dealership has anyone had anything similar after hitting a pothole at a relatively low speed?

Cheers!

Take it in to get the tracking checked if you think it's pulling to the left, not a big job. Or find a quiet road and drive right down the middle and take your hands off the wheel.

But good luck expecting the dealership to do anything AFTER you have bought the car! I called and left my number yesterday, she'd asked if there was a message to pass over? "Yes, I want to talk to him about ordering a Black Edition S3 saloon", I'll get him to call you back soon. It's now over 24 hours on and still no call!!! He'd told me he was working all weekend/week. I'm losing faith in Audi sales/cs ATM :( A mate of mine has a Merc and he said they can't do enough before-during and after.

I get you on getting a well timed reply from sales staff. Yes I totally understand that they have families and want a life outside of selling cars but I took my '63 a3 sline in as part ex against my upcoming S3, this was roughly 2-3 months ago maybe and I haven't had a single email or anything saying that everything has gone through ok as another salesmen took the car off me for him as he wasn't in that day....

So i just took the car up the middle of a deserted country lane and it does seem to subtly pull to the right so tracking probably needs doing. Still not sure about the wobble/lateral movement. it's subtle but does seem to be there, especially going slowly. Problem is I'm sure i'll get a "they all do that sir" when i take it in. :(

Maybe buckled a wheel. Get them to spin all 4 on the balancer whilst getting the tracking checked.

Have you checked the tyre for gouges or bulges?

I appreciate that they can get busy, but how long does it take to send an email?!?! He should be chasing me not me chasing him, I'm looking to order a car worth almost £40k, not a basic A1. So today I've been in touch with another Audi dealership (same group) I told him the story and he was amazed that he hadn't called me back. He said I'd be on top of his list if he'd received a message like that! so I'm giving him until Wednesday and if I haven't heard off him by then I'm going to the guy I spoke to today.

Left then right? Don't think it's anything other than you imagining things...I don't mean that in a horrible way though. I think because we take care of our cars so much, we forget how tough they actual are in the real world!
