I've had my S1 a few months now, love it... however...

The seats don't seem to hold you in place all too well - I'm not a big guy, well I'm 6ft, I mean I don't have a huge ****, so I tend to slide side to side in the seat when cornering, the bolsters don't seem to do much at all on the seat base - I've looked at the super sport seats and they share the same base.

Does anyone else find they don't keep you in place on the twisty bits?

Never been impressed by the 'Supersport' seats - neither super nor sporty. Poor lateral support, the right bolster feels like it's collapsing as you get out and they creak loudly in the lowest position. The Recaros in some other (cheaper) brands are far better.

I think Supersport seats look the part, but @Rockall has rightly summed it up - a lot of other people would also echo this comment.

Thanks for the replies @SPIKE_S1 @Rockall

The look of the supersports is lovely, but I wouldn't consider swapping my standard seats for them given the support is no better.

Annoying as I've sat in my friend's S3 and the seats are much better

I'd have to agree with the above comments having owned 2 new S1's and both specced with the Supersport seats, they don't offer as much support as the Recaro CS in the RenaultSport Clio 200 (As an example).

It's a shame because they really transform the look of the interior , even when you can see them through the rear window!

@Alexrogers92 completely agree, I was looking for one with supersport seats but ended up buying the one I have which had everything but them, having said that I wouldn't pay the money to swap them over now unless they offered much betetr support, which they don't - they do look great though - have seen your car come up on instagram and on here - amazing colour! How are you getting on with the new exhausts? thinking of changing mine, what did you go for in the end?

Thank you, the colour is certainly nice. I haven't done many miles in the car, about 100. However the Milltek seems perfect for me as I wanted something refined and not too loud as well as being OEM looking. It gives a nice exhaust note under load and is 3'' so will be fine should you wish to go down the tuning route. Perfect so far mate!

I also find the seats dont offer adequate support, im surprised there wasnt a recaro option like some of the S and Rs modles.

I don't think the "S" models have had optional Recaro seats for quite a while now, and even the current RS models don't offer Recaro as an option. I think the proper Recaro seats where last offered on the B8 RS4. I totally agree that they should be an option....great money spinner for Audi surely!

Recaro made some great seats for the astra gtc vxr.they would have been a great addition to the s1,i would have specd them if it was an option
