Louder turbo chatter how to ?

Has APR STAGE 1 currently K&N high flow panel filter single piece stainless steel decat exhaust system would i benefit form a EGR DELETE ?

Do you also want to hear the turbine spool up louder on your turbo too?

..If so, get 3''inch decat and you WILL hear that bad boy much better.

Thanks for reply fella already got full stainless steel decat exhaust system pretty sure it's 3" , VERY loud thinking maybe sort out boost control and front mounted intercooler.

Any time.

Great. Yep for max power and noise you need as bigger bore pipe as possible.

Im over the moon as I just got a full 3'' decat turbo back exhaust (mandrel bends) with only back box as the noise limiter. I can literally hear the spool of the turbo as low as 2k rpm.

Yes, definitely..FMIC and boost controller next for you! (me too)

My review coming soon.

i know what you mean about turbo spool and turbo noise at 2500rpm. I do also get turbo flutter and watergate noise just want to crank it all up, I get the loudest not quite sure how to describe it is like when turbo comes on song it lets out the some serious pressure but as kinda of a backfire but is not backfiring if u not expecting it still scares the **** out of me seriously loud but properly good

Yes, the spool noise is lovely. already hooked on it.

I think I know what you mean, I drove my mates mapped Golf 7R and it is insanely fast. When you floor it, it lets off a roar of turbo noise then literally a sonic BOOM of exhaust pressure!! Basically like a powerful fart lol.

Dr strange I got serious turbo chatter now removed old air box and filter from MAF sensor and fitted cone filter directly to MAF and now ridiculously loud chatter at low revs sounds the bizz and changed the drivability completely fella

Has been remapped since last year, the cone filter has changed the way the car is delivering its power and changed the way you have to drive hence why I said drivability you can't just full throttle in it, before in the wet would spin wheels at low rpm in 1st and 2nd gear now spins up in 3rd aswell.

We really need to see remapped std airbox Vs cone dyno prints because I and others will be
V E R Y sceptical !

when I can I will supply dyno findings and specs, not that I have anything to prove to ANYONE, I know my car and drive it everyday I know every single noise it makes and the way it makes its power whether it now makes 5 more bhp or more compared to the standard air box , with the cone filter it is spooling quicker and is producing power quicker at lower end revs plus the added bonus of louder turbo chatter.

What cone filter , pics in engine bay ?

Here's the problem a well respected moderator here and another forum with two projects a near 400bhp A4 3.0 TDI and a TT petrol track car has provided some information and proof on his old 1.9 AWX .

At the time it had a BV43 turbo and was running around 200bhp .

The standard induction is all of generous diameter and iirc he said the air box was the same size as a 4.2 V8's .

I quote..

"When I was having my car remapped tried a little experiment and ran the car with no filter against the one that I had fitted at the time which was a bog standard Mann filter that had done 10K plus miles. Less than 1bhp and 2-3 Lb/ft of torque that was on a car making nearly 200bhp.
The standard filter is very good and used on cars with much larger engines than in the Passat.
The last time I changed the air filter I tried a little experiment. I folded it out just to see how much filter surface there is."

28 feet !

Plenty of surface area thus no restriction .

Cone and aftermarket panel filters do improve over OE where the induction is small diameter and or small air box .

Gazwould, spot on from my understanding also.

I think its more in the map to be honest giving off a placebo from the noise of the cone filter.

Nonetheless, glad you're happy with the sound.
