valve guides

I have a 2001 audi s3 Quattro engine code is amk. Ive been getting parts together for a rebuild. I am looking new valve guides but any i am finding seem to be for a bam 225 engine. Would there be any difference between the bam ones and tge ones i need? If so can some one put a link up of where i can get the ones i need.

Use the valve guides recommended by the people that will be fitting them

I was hopping to book it in with Bill to get it done but was trying to get most of the parts bought and then just get them fitted with a few other things that im planning to get of him at the the time of rebuild.

Bill does supply all these parts... The head guy use there own guides and provide relevant warrenty... I doubt they would want to use customer supplied valve guides as they couldn't warrenty the work... Bill generally only uses parts he knows works...

I'd be wary of what you get assuming you are doing it to save a buck...

Thanks for the advice tuffty. I will just have to save up and let Bil sorce the parts. That was my plan to try save a few quid plus im not very good with saving i always seem to spend it on other things.
