Gearbox Crunching :(

As the title says, my gearbox is crunching when I change gear, but only in 5th and is seems to only happen if I'm doing like 50+ mph?!??

Anybody have any ideas?

I'm thinking Synchro or linkage, so I've bought the linkage, haven't installed because the bottom end is coming out for polybushing, I might get a second hand box anyway...
 
Have you locked the gearstick and pulled the slack from the linkage cables? Thats what I did on my s3 and gear changes are very smooth.. Fresh oil helped aswell..
 
Mines a rod shift mate, doesn't have cables unfortunately!
