My 2.0t avant special edition is due a service

Will be doing it myself, what oil, plugs, filters etc... do other 2.0t special edition owners recommend?

Anything else worth doing whilst carrying out the service (will be changing the diverter valve)

So no one here services their own car???

Best to go with all OEM (or whatever Euro Car Parts has as close to that) and 0w40 Castrol fully synth for the oil if your an oil snob like me.

Could also fit Audi R8 ignition coils, probably other stuff too but I'm not all that knowledgeable when it comes to petrol's.

Might be worth checking for any water underneath the battery and removing the plug down there if you spot any (leaving it out so this doesn't happen in future).

I used NGK-BKR7EIX plugs, which seem to be the iridium ones recommended. Unless you can be ***** to use copper and change them every year.

R8 coils.

Bosch for the oil filter, air filter and (activated carbon) cabin filter.

Brembo for the disks and pads.

Quantum oil from Audi.

And Goodyear Eagle 3's.

If you doing the DV as age related maintenance, you might want to do the PCV as well.

Are Bosch parts any better? I doubt it, but it was only a few quid more.

Ended up going for mann oil, cabin & air filter

Castrol magnatec 0w-30 oil

NGK PFR7S8EG plugs

Only replacing the DV as i can hear compressor surge when coming off the throttle so its prob split

Service all done

Old Rev c diverter valve had no splits and looked good for being 100k old

Still fitted the new Rev d one which has improved the idle and the car pulls better now there is no compressor surge

Reckon the spring had gone weak in the old Rev c one
