New member and second New Bitdi

Good afternoon, I am a new member and picked up my second new bitdi avant in 2 years. Love these cars, great performance and relatively economical. The first covered 44k miles and was just awesome, the new one has about 1k in 2.5 weeks

It's a bit rapid...... only done 700 miles so far had it since March! Only slightly more pull than the biturbo ...although I did have that chipped

How old was the bitdi when you had it chipped. What bhp and torque did you get?

375 bhp. 750 nm and it was about 2 years old . It was the mpg that improved quite often had 60 mpg on a run !

Nice. I would like to but concerned about warranty. Read somewhere on this forum about even tuning boxes leaving a Td1 code on the Ecu which invalidates the warranty. Bet it was fun to drive. Was the torque still right across the range

Welcome to the forum. I think A6 avants are great looking cars, and the Bi-tdi must be some fun. Particularly like the black car you had....looks so menacing!

Thanks. The black one looked great, and indeed very swift. The new tornado grey looks a bit less menacing, but still has presence. Equally fun to drive. It is a car for all occassions for sure and can be a bit of a brute when the the throttle is used. What do you run?

A 2.0tdi A3 & S1. The S1 is one of the most fun cars we've ever owned. The A3 is for the weekly day to day stuff.

Nice. I drove an S1 for a couple of days when mine was in for a warranty job. Good fun and pretty quick. Great on roundabouts
