Is push to start standard on the S3 now?
Or do you have to spec Advanced Key?

Im not bothered about keyless entry, id only spec the advanced key for push to start, so if its standard i can save £400.

Believes it's part of the keyless entry option only.

Not standard. Need to go for advanced key.
It's an old fashioned flick key inserted into keyhole in steering column.
Whereas my last two Audi's were key fob into slot in dash, so a bit of a step backwards but no big deal really.

I actually prefer it too!!

The actual key with "advanced key" is totally naff and looks like a 15 year old design. However, you don't have to take it out of your pocket to show how bulky and rubbish it is.

The advanced key is identical to the normal key, it's just different in the way you use it.

Doesn't bother me too much really, just looks like a normal key. I don't like the ones you have to put into the dash... defeats the point of having an advanced key if you have to put it in the dash anyway! It's small enough that it doesn't cause me any problems putting it in my pocket, much better than the ones you get with Renault, those ridiculous credit card things...

What... the old fashioned key!?

Yes, very much.

You cant forget your key in the car (which ive done with our other car numerous times) I think its safer and avoids any techonlogical wiz using a wireless box to clone my key and I also like the feeling of turning a car on with a key. It feels proper!

How does this work with the advanced key? It never leaves my pocket so definitely can't forget it!!

Also with advanced key you can't lock the doors (by touching the door handle) if you have left the key in the car. Key doesn't leave my pocket either.

Yes, but you might think the key would be slightly more stylish (I have advanced key)

The one for the TT is really modern looking too, you'd have thought they'd have used the same design
