Who sells the fly wheel as not 1 I have come across so far?? Is their any makes you would avoid??

I was told they was the same but was dubious that's why I've questioned it....

Am I right in thinking the G60 flywheel with the VR6 clutch will fit an aeb engine? There is much info out there on this but nobody can agree on it.

It will bolt onto the engine, yes. But it wont fit the gearbox, or line up with the starter motor.

The input spline on the gearbox is even different.

Quite simply, it wont work on an AEB in an A4.

I spoke to a gearbox rebuilder over here and my mates garage experienced the same thing with the taxi rank that it serviced. That thing was that gearboxes originally fitted with dual mass flywheels and then having a solid mass one installed with a new clutch would subsequently develope detrimental faults within a six month period if not sooner. The gearbox specialist advised that if it came with solid then continue with solid and if it came with dual mass then fit dual mass.

The 012/01A box isnt too bad, as it was used in cars without dual mass from the factory.

Mine was converted to single mass almost 2 years ago and had beatings. Not had a problem yet. That's done it now hasn't it? LoL

Top it off dug out receipts from before I bought it and it's a ************* in it as well as single mass flywheel so I messaged them and they've told me only their clutches fit their flywheel could this be true??

Unlikely they will have a clutch made just for them. It'll be something off the shelf, problem will be identifying what it is
