Could anyone tell me if there is anyway of upgrading anything on the standard stereo to be able to stream music through Bluetooth?
Also. it has a lead for the older generation iphone 4/4s in the glovebox, I know I can buy a new lead for the iphone 5 onwards but is it only a small lead you can get from audi? I was looking for one a little bit longer to come out and plug into where my phone holder is.
Cheers!

Have you got the AMI port? If you have, there is a lil device called Tune2Air. That's what I have for Bluetooth Audio streaming. Works pretty well.

Is that the port in the glovebox? Yeah I've got that. Where is the best place to buy that from, eBay?

Cheers mate will have a look at it. How does that work when you get in, would your phone connect to that tune2air thing instead of the bluetooth in the car?

Sorry, mate, trying to post a link to amazon. Only 1 in stock. So yeah, my phone automatically connects to it when I get in the car. Doesn't effect the hands free in car Bluetooth at all. Connects to that as normal!

That's ideal if your phone connects to both at the same time, I wasn't sure how that would work, seen a few on eBay, will check out Amazon. Thanks again!

No worries mate. It's not perfect, I can control it via the MMI but sometimes it displays the wrong track name etc but other than that, it's the best option out there afaik.

Can't go wrong for that money I suppose, as you said, better than nothing. Mine hasnt even got a AUX, just got the car on Monday, didn't even think to check before I got it to see if it did have one, just assumed it would. Seen some people on here saying if you've got the AMI port then it doesn't come with AUX

What would you do with an AUX port? If you want a cable you can just get an AMI --> iPhone cable but then it's still just a cable hanging about, which is what I didn't want. But no, I don't have an AUX port either.

Yeh that's a fair point, had a look at the tune2air and that seems perfect, in the glovebox out the way and can control it through the mmi
