MY18

Door beams are an easy retrofit, cheap on eBay. Each to there own but I think they look tacky.

I think the systems usually go a little haywire this time of year as they have to sort out which order cagey built or converted to MY18.

I wouldn't be fussed about the SOS features, but the locking/ checking from the app would be a nice gimmick to have, but don't think I'd risk delaying my order for it.

That's a shame, not missing out by much!

The services basically just allow you to communicate with the car through your phone and do things like lock/unlock, check if the lights are on, check when the next service is, etc. The door beams are ones that you can actually by from Audi at the minute it looks like. Basically takes that standard LED puddle lights and projects the Audi rings rather than just a normal flood of light.

That's what I can make out anyway. I'm sure that someone will correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Did I miss the Audi Connect/SOS feature when I ordered my Allroad Sport, then? I don't remember seeing it in the brochure..
 
Spaceman, the Audi beams are replacements for the standard puddle lights which project the Audi 4 ring logo onto the ground when you open the front doors.

Yes seen that, dated the 25/9/15, quickly not applicable to the A4 in the UK until the MY18. Its a shame because this has been available in the USA at launch of the A4..
 
Cheers guys not bothered about the rings on lights but Halfords for me. The checking the lock would be great tho cause wife always forgets I'll see how the build goes might end up with it might be without.

Can you retrofit what's needed for the lock unlock feature on the app? Or code it?
 
We don't know the answer to the sos, I haven't been able tofind anything, and I find to quickly check to see if the car is locked, if it is in sight of course, is by the folding wing mirrors. I expect you already know that though

I had another look at the brochure, which does state Audi Connect as a standard option on the Sport model. What that entails (and if that includes the remote features mentioned in the MY18 update.. I don't know).

I'd love to find out though! My build is finally moving along, it's apparently at the quality control stage (7).

How about yours?

Yup the exact reason I called the dealer back up and added them the connect app would be good so I can do it when I'm offshore lol

I have just been through the "your Audi - Track New Car thread" from the beginning (and forgive me if I am teaching you all to suck eggs) to find the link which takes you to the build standard. If you log in to "your audi" and open your order then click on this link:

you will get a load of text but the last 6 lines make for interesting reading as it will give you the model year, build week and a list of the option codes for your vehicle. Compare with the brochure and you will be able to check if all the options you have ordered are there.

This will obviously be of interest for those who are not sure what model year their orders are.

Would be nice to have as you can use the app to check locks etc.

Spoke to a couple of dealers today re S4 MY18 one confirmed connect assist, flat bottomed wheel, Audi beam and 19" 10 spoke alloys.

Neither dealer could provide a quote as the system is in middle of change to MY18.

I went to order an A5 coupe yesterday, sadly I was 7 days too late! Any orders placed/confirmed after the 21st April including orders for cars that are built (even if they are sitting in the showroom) would incur a £675 increase. You can imagine how gutted I was?!?! :( I wouldn't mind so much if there were additional options on the MY18 A5 coupe, but there isn't any!, so an extra £675 for nothing...I didn't order as the GFV had gone down as well, so the monthly PCP had shot up by £30 and I just couldn't do it for the sake of 7 days :( The Audi website/config tool was still showing the old price when he checked my figures at his desk.

Not sure if all the Audi range had a price increase or not!?!? Anyone know?

Has the black edition just been released for MY18 then? as I can't see it on the Audi website.
 
Wow, I only made it in by one day then by the sounds of things! I'll have to spec up my car once the configurator is updated and see what the overall cost change is. Don't think I'll save anything but you never know!

Tracker has updated overnight. Now showing my BW22 Allroad as MY18.
 
Where does it specify that on the tracker?

Maybe migrating existing MY17 to MY18 in batches starting from bw22? Guessing though.

You may well be right! My car is now showing as a MY18 and the build slot has shifted from the 19th to the 3rd July. Not that it makes much aof a difference to me as I don't want to collect until 1st Sept anyway. :)
 
Mine's also now changed to MY18! Build date has also jumped forward from 3 July to 29 May. Like Daggerit I'm not getting mine until September anyway so no big deal.

My new company car (A4 Avant S-Line) was ordered at the end of March.. As it's a lease car I doubt i'll be able to access the order tracking site.
I'm told the delivery date has moved from mid May to mid June.. does this suggest mine will be the MY18 spec?.

First Audi after years of Passats.. so excited

I would say it is unlikely to be MY18. Delivery in mid June would suggest a mid May build. Typically delivery is four to five weeks from build week and with BW22 29/5 as the first MY18 run, I think you will just miss out. This is just a guesstimate though....

Try asking the lease company for the order number and dealer postcode, mine were able to provide it and I can keep following the tracker.
My car is proposed for delivery first week June and shows build week 8th May wk19 in the tracker.

I'd agree. Think it's a bit early for the MY18 updates unfortunately.
