I'm in the same boat, also curious to know what % and shade to go for! Are you getting just the back windows done? If so, How much did you get quoted?

Got a 5 door so back passenger windows and rear window £150, this is in glasgow and thats about the going price around the area had some that were cheaper but went with a company that does more prestige cars now and agin like bentleys and range rovers etc.

Go for as close to standard as possible, think they are "Dark Smoke".

Mine with factory tints.

So is this a completely different tint from limo or is dark smoke just a lighter percentage of dark smoke if you get what i mean.

It's just a lighter tint of it. The standard tint isn't quite limo black.

We asked the place that did mine and they said Dark Smoke, it looked good.

IIRC the Audi factory tint is 90%. (lets 10% light through)
I'm current in a mk7 GTD that has 65% standard tint - 90% tint being a factory option which is identical to Audi's privacy glass.
I would definitely go with 90% on daytona.

Spoke to the man thats doing them on saturday and he has a tint thats pretty much identical to audis privacy glass so going for that!

What do yous think on tinting the rear lights? Or leave as is?

Leave the lights - the privacy glass tint with Daytona will look great. Tinted lights will make it look drab IMO

Yours is amazing! I got factory tints on mine wish I hadn't paid out now could've got the folding mirrors and auto dimming rear view mirror instead. Regret not getting it

Thanks. Yeah I wanted folding mirrors and parking sensors too but I was at my £40k limit.

For me the factory tint on the Daytona sportback looks great. My only disappointment was that the black edition wasn't available when I ordered last year.

For the Tax surcharge I assume. I'm thinking of getting folding mirrors from a mod place can't survive in London without it

I may look into retrofitting but not sure if it would be worth the hassle. Yeah for the tax charge.

Nice, that looks gorgeous! Thinking of getting this on my daytona saloon now... What shade/grade (correct term??) did you go for? Assume that was the glass being replaced?

I just got my windows tinted and asked for dark smoke this is the closest shade they have to audis privacy glass! What a difference it makes and for £150 cant argue especially in comparison to how much the glass would cost.
