hello, I previously purchased this car from a dealer who told me that the service book was present but on final collection the service book was from the car dealship selling the car and not the genuine one. wow you tell me alarm bells which I did have, anyway to cut a long story short I contacted the previous owner and he told me that the original service book he did not have it but had the car serviced at the same car sales dealership and during his owner ship the car had no issues which gives me peice of mind. But he gave me the previous owners address so I contacted him and he did not have it either but had the car serviced at the same dealership.
The car was sold by Fords of Windsford at 30k with full service history so it must have been service by an Audi main dealership at some point. on contacting my local Audi dealers about finding the history of the car they did not answer my email and now are blocking my emails because they are bouncing back.
Sorry it has been a long one but that is the main dealers for you not wanting to know or help. Different if you are buying a new car they would be all over you. Cheers from Colin.
When I get the car serviced it will be from my local independent audi dealers with a duplicate service book

Why don't you simply pick up the phone and call the dealership? Or go in and ask for any info on their system about your car. All Audi service history is stored on a central database that ANY Audi dealership or authorised workshop can access. All they need is you reg or VIN and they will be able to pull up and print of the entire Audi history infront of you.

E-mails are too easy to ignore, phone calls are not so easy to ignore, and a person standing in the dealership is impossible to ignore. So go in an ask for the info you need. Job done....

thanks for the reply, I have already done the at Cheshire Oaks Audi and they did not want to know, I shall visit my local independant Audi dealership and ask them, they service and repair all Audi's but especially RS4's and 6's good lads. Like the email I got from the previous owner Fords of Wndsford sold the car at 30k with full service history and it has 72k on the clock now so there must be history somewhere, who knows??? cheers from Colin

i contcated a audi garage regarding work that had being done on my car in the past (before owning it) and they sent me a screen shot of all the information they had on the system for it like tsbs which had being carried out and warranty services etc

Call Audi customer services, as long as you have the VIN, (to avoid confusion in transfered cherished/private reg numbers) they'll give you the full recorded history (this obviously only included work completed by main dealer network or approved service providers. Called about a couple of cars I was looking to buy, before getting this B8, they were more than helpful.

thanks for that, I was up at Cheshire Oaks Audi and I did ask them and the chap went away and quickly came back and said they had no history of the car, That is why I shall try my local Indepenent Audi dealers and ask them, I should get some sense out of them. I did own an A3 once with suposedly 65k on the clock but it drove like a 160k on the clack and a engine mount had gone so at the time I did not know what the noise was so I booked it into Cheshire Oaks and it turne out to be a engine mount and the charge was £24 for the engine mount and £180 for labour so that it why I go to my local independents and steer clear of the main dealers. Cheers from Colin
