yep - i got the same after adding some front discs to my basket...

Just try car parts 4 less if you don't need the parts the same day. Even with the big discounts it often works out cheaper and you are getting the same parts. I had to buy a rear caliper for the TT the other day and ECP had a 55% discount on over the weekend. Even after I got the discount which was around 30-35% the part still would have been cheaper to order from carparts4less. However I needed the part on the day and calipers have a surcharge for return so going to pick up the part saved me the trouble in posting the original back.

Disks and Pads ordered - was £190 down to £123 , total rip off !!, Carparts4less are £123 for exactly the same discs and pads.

30% off RS4 discs with the code. No cheaper than what you get them for normally from other places...

So it turns out that Eurocarparts and Carparts4less are indeed the same company , they are using a really very dodgy marketing trick (morally wrong).
ECR advertise the "real" price and tempt you with big discounts, CP4L advertise the already discounted price. You save absolutely nothing with ECR

Except you can walk into ECP and pick the part up

As stated above ECP is on the high street. CP4L is the on line trading part of ECP and as such they can discount the parts more as they don't have to support all the retail outlets. Loads of companys do similar things.
If you use the discounts on CP4L you can get better savings as well.

Depending on what I am ordering and how much it costs I split the order into 2 . If the parts I was ordering cost £165 and I just used spend over £100 discount I would save £15 . However if you could split the order into £110 and £55 you would get a total £20 discount. It would cost CP4L more money to send it as it's two parcels but that's there problem. Also I occasionally add small bits on to get extra discount, I basically got a free pollen filter a few weeks ago. The order came to £70 so added another £6 for the pollen filter and got discounted by £5.

My "beef" is that the discount advertised is false , In my case the ECP list price for disc's and pads came to £190 odd, take off the supposed 57% and that came down to £123 odd , where as CP4L was already £123 odd. Therefore the 57% is false and no saving is being made.

^^

Same with me!

"Up to 57%" is stupid, don't see why they don't just reduce the products by whatever percentage rather than giving us a random discount.

Euro Car Parts doesn't seem to be half as cheap as it used to be either!

Lads read the small print at the botton off the red banner certsin items dont qualify ( ie peformance parts , tools ) to name 2

They are a business after all so they have to make their money somehow and as already said ECP has retail stores which means the parts need to pay their keep on a shelf and in some cases a delivery driver too, CP4L is all online so they have a large warehouse and distribute everything from there with a courier costing a lot less.
As with everything margins will never be equal, so one type of brake disc will have a 60% margin vs another make of the same disc maybe only having 45% (numbers not strictly accurate there) there is no way they can apply a set discount across all products hence the up to.

That said I do think they have gotten more expensive in there always handy to know someone on the other side of the counter too.

I've found my particular item cheaper with CP4L 13% bank holiday sale .

Fed up with multi platform marketing though .

I am a man at the other side of the counter so if your stuck fire things my way and i will look into it.
